Labeling people as conspiracy theorists is just another way of avoiding investigation at the very least. It has been done again and again - Ridicule is a hell of a drug. If all else fails, just call names - group mentality is a powerful thing. But it goes in both directions...

Not to get off topic, but the RFK was a clear inside assassination done from a very high level, just as JFK's was. It doesn't take much time to see that. It is one of the more clear cut cases actually. It has all the makings of one, including the obvious patsy.

Anyway, I'm not here to give my opinion so much as I was observing peoples opinions regarding Dorner. You are flat out wrong that he destroyed his own cause. The reaction of the police department and all the webpages and support he received clearly shows that. Further, everyone that I have seen has been against his violence against innocents. So, we need to separate the violence he committed to the injustices he received, whether or not we agree with it. I'm just observing the internet and it is blatantly clear that the guy is getting support for his cause, but not for his violence. I was actually shocked it was so one sided. Lots of pent up injustice feelings from people out there.

So, I'm not trying to make this opinionated, rather observational. Not saying right or wrong. Just let the data points speak for themselves.

There are a lot of people who look for external reasons for why they didn't get ahead in life. I'm not saying the world is perfect - far from it. But that doesn't change the fact that a lot of people are where they are at in life because of their actions (or lack thereof). I believe Dorner resonates with them because they see someone else with a "victimized" mindset and they can relate to it.

And I don't know who you are talking to but I wouldn't say by a long shot that this guy had overwhelming support. Quite the opposite.
Play time is over.

Owner of stolen truck says Dorner didn't want to hurt him

Heltebrake noticed something moving in the trees. It was a person with a gun dressed in camouflage and a ballistics vest, with pockets that were full.

“He was ready for action,” Heltebrake said. “Right away I knew it was Mr. Dorner.” And behind Dorner was a wrecked vehicle.

“He came at me with his gun leveled at my head,” Heltebrake said. “I stopped, put my truck in park, raised my hands, and he said, ‘I don’t want to hurt you, just get out, start walking up the road and take your dog.’ I said, ‘Can I get her leash?' He said, ‘No, just start walking.' ”

Does this sound like some crazed animal looking to murder innocent uninvolved people who weren't the focus of his manifesto?

he killed 4 people. he's not justified. done.

He killed four people who fell under the outlined threats of his manifesto. I'm not arguing whether those killings were justified or morally/legally right or wrong. I'm contesting the contention that he is some crazed maniac out for the blood of innocent civilians. He stayed true to his manifesto. PERIOD. DONE.

Whether you agree with that or not is not the issue. The issue is the media and the LAPD attempting to spin this as if the general public at large was in danger...when they were not....

EDIT: ...unless LAPD was doing the gun firing.

...and what's your point? Am I arguing that Dorner isn't a serial killer? No. He was serially killing the cops and their families as per his personal manifesto.

I am arguing that the general public *civilians unrelated to the officers named in his manifesto* were not in danger. Except for when the police were doing the shooting.

So what? What difference does it make? He killed the innocent people he said he'd kill, not other innocent people. Whoop de doo.

It makes a ton of difference when the media, police chief, and governor are pretending everyone is a target. That is false propaganda to sway public opinion, especially once there were early reports that Dorner had public support documented via online postings, "likes", social media groups, etc.

That's when the ole "terrorist" rhetoric reared it's head again.

Facebook likes??

Shouldn't the attention be just a little bit more on these two?

It's not as simple as "facebook likes". It's more about the fact that the same civilians authorities wanted to persuade to feel endangered were rallying behind this man in some capacity. The fact that people came to the point of creating FB groups and accumulating a mass amount of "likes" in support of Dorner's supposed cause, caused authorities to stoop to progaganda tactics to sway public opinion to their side.

Then the domestic terrorism rhetoric gets thrown about and published in news articles/reports. Again, to make civilians unrelated to the threats of his manifesto feel endangered. Which aids the LAPD and their cause.

Why should I have felt threatened by Dorner? He was no enemy of mine? Even if I lived in lower Cali I'd have felt more uncomfortable if I saw LAPD rolling around while I was with my family. Especialy as a black man, low cut, light brown skinned and weighing over 215lbs LOL.

He said exactly what he would do and he did exactly what he outlined in his manifesto. PERIOD. He was no psycho maniac on a random killing spree the way the media and LAPD wanted you to believe. He had a grudge with a specific group he targeted in his manifesto. He stuck to that cause. Whether you feel that is right or wrong is neither here nor there. Lets stick to the facts and not the hype machine.

I don't think race is the primary factor in the difference between how this guy is portrayed vs. how the guys who go shooting up schools and such are portrayed. This man took up active warfare against an arm of the United States government whereas those guys are civilian on civilian and the government (police) gets to save the day.

Very different scenario here. And that's why they didn't want to let him live to tell the tale.
