Jazz hit the break with 30-24. Were not in 6th cause we have played 2 more games than Warriors.
Is this a measuring stick to see who is going to be a Playoff Team??
Jazz are only 4.5 games behind 4th place, and Jazz are in the same company as Grizzlies as being the only two teams to beat Heat, Spurs and Thunder(obviously the top 3 teams in the league). We can play clippers, we just end up losing. Its funny cause this season shows that we can beat SAS or OKC but not LAC or MEM, so 7th or 8th is probably better for us, I mean we might as well face the best upfront, than delay the inevitable(plus you get a better draft pick).
I know POR, LAL and DAL are right behind us and could steal are shot, but were 3.5 games ahead of both POR and LAL, and 5.5 games ahead of DAL, so it might or might not happen. LAL and HOU are fully capable of surpassing us, which is why I am half/half on the 30 win benchmark. I think were in the top of the best, were just not consistent enough to be a top 4 team, and if Lakers make a bigger come back, we might not even be a top 8 team.

I disagree with you. I think that the Jazz will "break out" after the all-star break and push for a Top 4 seed. That is, if we get Mo Williams and Gordon Hayward back healthy. With those two, the Jazz have the talent to challenge any team in the league on a consistent basis. They proved it against the Miami Heat (a game I went to), where it seemed incredibly obvious that while the Heat have three great players, the Jazz were the more talented team overall, as evidenced by the way that the game went. And we were still without Mo Williams for that game. If the Jazz can beat the Heat, the Thunder, and the Spurs, we can beat everybody else in the NBA regardless of how we played against them in the past (including Memphis, Denver, and the Clippers). Gordon Hayward (when he comes back) is our version of James Harden on OKC before he was traded. Mo Williams is also and incredibly important part of our team because he actually challenges the other team's outstanding PG while being a great leader, shooter, and defender. If the Jazz can stay healthy, I really do think that we could pass Golden State, Denver, AND Memphis (who traded away their best player in Rudy Gay, by the way) for 4th in the West. We have 30 wins at the All-Star break without arguably our two most important players (Williams and Hayward). I know that a lot of you are pessimists, but I have become actually quite confident in the Jazz's ability to make a deep playoff push with the talent we currently have.

Re: 30 Wins by All-Star Break
I we go 50% bball the rest of the season (14-14) we'll finish 44-38.
This should be good enough to be in playoffs at the 8th spot.
If we win at our actual ration this should be 47-48 wins and 34-35 losses.
I think blazers are going to fall, and Lakers have right now 29 Losses... so it's difficult to them to tie us (and we have the tirbreaker) so it's almost a given fact we will be a playoff teams.
We have lost vs Clippers, but I think we should have won both at home, and I think they are more beatable than OKC or SA at a 7 game series. Still our chances are pretty slim.
