How About Trading Perkins for AL Jefferson?

Post#1 » by God MC » Sun Feb 10, 2013 3:12 am

I'm not a Thunder fan nor a Jazz fan. But what if yall had AL Jeff as your big man instead of Perk.

The trade Machine says I could do

Perkins
Thabo
Eric Maynor
& Reggie Jackson

For Al Jefferson & Raja Bell

Now doing this deal would be contingent upon Raja's health and current ability. If he's up to par with his past yrs, he could be a cheap downgrade from Thabo but not a HUGE one.

I would do this deal, not giving them any first rounders at all. So you would still have the Dallas pick & the Toronto pick to pick up players.

I know the thought of giving up Thabo & Maynor maybe frightens u, but if Presti does his homework, I'm sure that Toronto Pick could bring you something good to replace somebody with.

Not to mention, Delonte West is still out there. He could be a nice pick up and play SG or PG depending on what you need him to do.

Utah says " No, ne, non, nyet, nine." and any other way you can so in any other language. they already have a log jam with big and want to move forward with Kanter and Favors. they will probably go into a mini rebuilding phase and Kendrick Perkins has a terrible contract and brings them literally nothing that they want. I don't think any of the other pieces really help them in the long run either. So yeah, Utah hangs up immediately. for example:

OKC Hey! Utah! were wondering about big Al
Utah: Well, we are considering offers.
OKC: how about Kendr....
Utah: dial tone
OKC: Hello? Hello?

Utah will want maybe a young wing with lots of potential and a decent draft pick. Or maybe just salary cap relief and future draft asset. Not Perkins.

If you gave us some of those picks you're hoarding, then we could talk. Jazz might also be interested in Lamb. I like Jones but I doubt the Jazz are high on him. But the Jazz would rather let Al walk than take on that lump of poo you're offering, and they think they can resign him.

Yeah, no. Just flat out no.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

I have less than zero interest in Al Jefferson. Absolutely not the guy the Thunder need. We need someone who can play defense, rebound, and finish plays. While Jefferson can rebound, he also needs the ball to be effective (and really, he's not even THAT effective, considering his efficiency), and he's a TERRIBLE defender.

No.
