My thoughts and prayers go out to Jerry Buss and the Buss family during this difficult time. Buss has been hospitalized and is battling cancer.

Final game before the All-Star break. Only 25 games left in the regular season after tonight. Both teams need a win and should be able to leave it all on the floor since there are not any games for the next few days. The Lakers have won 8 of their last 11 while finishing 4-3 on the Grammy trip. The Clippers have won 6 of their last 11, but are on a 3 game winning streak after welcoming back their top 4 players into the line-up. Of our last 3 wins, the team has looked more like themselves, however It hasn't been perfect. There have been some stretches of totally obliterating the competition, but there have also been some lackadaisical lulls that have made the games far closer than they should have been. Tonight really comes down to defense and rebounding for us. The Lakers are one of the best rebounding teams in the league and we can leave a lot to be desired on the boards.
