I can understand people's distaste for his samauri dance, and his off-field issues. The reason I couldn't stand Barnett was that he had excellent physical abilities, but simply couldn't play under control. The guy constantly over-ran his lane, allowing RB's to cut back behind him for a good carry, when he should have been stuffed in the hole for a yard. Virtually every time Barnett blitzed, he'd get through the hole into the backfield, but again, he was so out of control that he would just blow by the QB rather than get to him, and the QB would step up into the pocket and get the throw off.

Those are the reason's I was glad to see Barnett go.

He actually still lives in the Green Bay area and is currently back per his twitter. Kind of a rarity.

I'll give him a pass on the club stuff, that was all from like 2005-07 when he was relatively young. Besides the photo stuff he stayed out of trouble his last 4-5 years here. I just think he's probably lost a step at this point and isn't going to be a huge difference maker.

Bryce Paup was another linebacker who signed with Buffalo but still lived in Green Bay (still does). For those unfamiliar with him he was NFL Defensive Player of the Year the season after he left GB (1995). He had 17.5 sacks.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Barnett was drafted by Sherman
Hawk was TT's first & highest draft pick.

He's done a real good job at Green Bay Southwest as the Head Coach. None of the Green Bay Public Schools have ever gone to State in football and he's had them knocking on the door the past couple years. Last year was their best shot I think, but I'm not a huge high school follower. But there are rumors he could move up to the college level, not necessarly head job, if he chose so.

TT's first draft pick was Aaron Rodgers, his second was Nick Collins.

As much as I hate Nick Barnett I'd take him right now,he would be an upgrade over Hawk.

I'd also take him back, but I doubt he'd want to be here. He could help especially as a coverage ILB.

I still remember watching that draft with my list of guys i liked and saying after the pick, who the hell is Nick Collins?

Man do we miss him big time. It's certainly possible that with Collins on either of the last two Packer teams, they'd have at least made one more Super Bowl.
