Some Questions about Posting

Post#1 » by eliasrapp98 » Sun Feb 17, 2013 1:01 am

Hey Howard,

How do I

#1 Take a quote from one thread and move it to another

and

#2 How do I use that "select all" thing where the text is green and it looks like a quote? I see people use that in T&T Games for showing trades they've done and I can't find it. Thanks.

SG: Andre Roberson, Anthony Morrow, Jeremy Lamb
SF: Kevin Durant, KJ McDaniels, Perry Jones
PF: Serge Ibaka, Nick Collison, Robert Covington
Cc: Al Jefferson, Steven Adams, Kendrick Perkins, Mitch McGary

eliasrapp98,

I am not the best at describing this stuff.

I'm going to ask a Moderator who might be able to explain the tech stuff better than I can.

Howard forwarded this my way so I will help you out here.

1. hit the quote button like normal and type in your reply like normal but instead of hitting 'submit'... select all text and copy it then open the thread where you want to have it show up and click on quick reply and then paste it in and submit.

2. hit the 'code' button which is where all the other buttons (Img, URL, B, Quote,.. etc) are. Type in your numbered trades between the beginning 'code' and end '/code'.

hope that helps :D

Just noticed the method to your madness Howard. Always get the last post in on a thread for this forum so you know that you have answered/noticed everything with just a quick glance at that uninterrupted row of red text (or lack there of) when opening the page. :)
