Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. L "Trade Deadline" Edit
Or just saying he's going to take all the shots so to get more attention? lol.
While heads understandably have dropped with the team, I do like how hard they did play, even if most of those games were losses.
I don't like to see JJ go, but truth be told, he's at that stage where he knows he can contribute to a good winning team, where he never got huge time while WE were that team. Fair play to him he's earned it with hard work. If we keep him, great, but if he goes, as long as its not LA or Celitcs, I'll be happy for him (as long as he's not just a 20 min bench player and gained nothing except his team gets a few more W's in the column).

huh??? Straight up??? Dude has come off an ACL injury and looks like crap since returning. no thanks.

But, I really like the picks that Minnesota has.
NY has been trying to play Shump at the 3, isn't working.
they already have JR Smith coming off the bench at the 2. (Kidd is the starting SG for some reason)
They also have Ronnie Brewer at SG.
I would think AA would be a better fit here because he can slide to the 3. I don't know where JJs minutes at the 2 would come from.

I forget who posted it, but someone mentioned that the Wolves had multiple picks they are willing to give up. So maybe we can do this?? Granted it takes Brandon Roy who is not playing but as a favor they give us some of those draft picks

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. L "Trade Deadline" Edit
Oops. Sorry about that. The deal was this:
Orlando trade: Redick, BBD, McRoberts, 2nd Round Pick
Orlando receive: Kirilenko, Brandon Roy's contract, Derrick Williams, at least one of the 1st round picks.
Reason: I chose Kirilenko and Williams because they expire in 2014 and gets us a draft pick. It gets Minnesota the 3pt shot in McRoberts and they get the shooter they want in JJ

I understand it is not the best deal but Kirilenko is someone Harkless could certainly learn from. Same style of play.

Re: Official Speculation Thread (Pt. L "Trade Deadline" Edit
One report in the days leading up to Thursday's NBA trade deadline indicated that the Orlando Magic's asking price for J.J. Redick is "steep," but another report early Tuesday morning from ESPN's Marc Stein specified just how steep.
According to Stein, the Magic are asking for "no less than a first-round pick" in exchange for Redick, the 28-year-old shooting guard with an expiring contract.

Orlando gives: JJ Redick, Gustavo Ayon
Orlando receives: Iman Shumpert, Derrick Williams, Chase Budinger
Minnesota gives: Derrick Williams, Chase Budinger
Minnesota receives: Steve Novak, Gustavo Ayon
New York gives: Iman Shumpert, Steve Novak
New York receives: JJ Redick
Wolves probably say no.

Shumpert is probably better than any mid-late teens pick this year. I want Trey Burke, but Iman Shumpert is definitely good.

I would do this trade in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, the Wolves wouldn't lol.
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)
