All true but... That justifies the refs not doing their job? The arm flinging came as a result of missed calls. If they did their job correctly in the first place Kobe never would have had to resort to showing up the referees.

There are certain players that never have to worry about getting their calls. Kobe used to get this treatment but one day it just stopped on a dime. Now he pretty much has to wait until he's butchered to get to the free throw line. The guy with the best footwork in the league should be treated better than that.

What's really going on is that Kobe grew up playing ball in an era where if you drove to the basket you got mugged, and didn't expect to get a call. His finesse game developed around it, and despite his efforts to "modernize" his game in recent years, he still tries to make the shot versus failing like a bitch when contact is made.
