Saw it too.

Are Nick Diaz highlights ever not awesome?

Also, I love how Nick's go-to music is the Deftones.

"Feiticeira" is becoming like Wandy's usage of "Sandstorm."

McDonald out, now it's Condit vs. Hendricks for the co-main.

Hmmm, where do they go if Condit wins? I would have gone with the Ellenberger rematch, but he's probably got a fight lined up. Did Hendricks have one too? Could have been against each other for all I know.

I guess the Silva fight is still there, especially at 170.

Woodley/Ellenberger is signed according to sherdog forums.

Marquardt is calling out Jake too. Seems like a dude everyone wants to fight right now.

Tough break for Rory, what with the FOX call-out 'n' all.

But, Hendricks deserves to be in a contender fight, but the fight game is a numbers game.

Condit, if he can win this, would be very dangerous in a re-match with either Diaz or GSP.
On the right day, he could beat both.

I think Hendricks is actually a bad matchup for Condit. I'm not sure Condit has the ability to get big rig down, and in a standup Match, though Condit is a much, much more technical striker, ya gotta figure Hendricks can land that big shot sometime.

Disagree. Condit beats Hendricks soundly and without problem, IMO. That punch won't land on someone as skilled as Condit. It's a terrible match-up for JH.

It's now actually a pretty weak card. Huh. Mike Ricci on the main??? It took me a few to figure out who he even is...and I only know cos he's Rory's style consultant. I couldn't put a face to 8 of those names.

Preliminary Card:

(Facebook 6:35PM ET/3:35PM PT)

Yves Jabouin vs. Johnny Eduardo

Mitch Gagnon vs. Issei Tamura

Jordan Mein vs. Dan Miller

(FX 8PM ET/5PM PT)

Daron Cruickshank vs. John Makdessi

Antonio Carvalho vs. Darren Elkins

Quinn Mulhern vs. Rick Story

Patrick Cote vs. Bobby Voelker

Main Card:

(Pay-Per-View 10PM ET/7PM PT)

Jake Ellenberger vs. TBD

Mike Ricci vs. Colin Fletcher

Chris Camozzi vs. Nick Ring

Carlos Condit vs. Johny Hendricks

Nick Diaz vs. Georges St-Pierre (UFC welterweight champion)

Jake Shields headlines an Invicta card by 2014. Marquardt got Okamid bad, but I think he handles Jake.

Marquardt vs Shields actually sounds pretty good to me.

Is Shields at 185 now? I have a vague idea that he fought Ed Herman.

Woodley vs. Ellenberger is a good fight. Would that be on this card?

Actually, let's get Demian Maia in this mix.

Maia/Ellenberger and Condit/Hendricks. They can do that thing where the guy who looks most impressive gets the next shot. In the event GSP/Silva happens, the winners can square off to see who's got next.

Yup, Maia vs Ellenberger.
If he beats Ellenberger easily, and Hendricks loses, I could see a Maia getting the next shot.

As long as GSP fights Hendrix, Maia, and if Silva comes down to 174 or less I'll be thrilled.

I wonder how old GSP will be when he wants out? I can't see him wanting to take loses on his record, he's far too much a legacy guy.
I could see him out of the sport by 35, which is only 3 1/2 year, or 6ish fights left.

John Morgan @MMAjunkieJohn
Dana said he's "really close" to pulling Nick from the GSP fight again. Really, really doesn't want to put feels his hand is being forced.

Dana was praising Liz and Ronda at the presser. Saying how REFRESHING it was to have fighters actually help sell the fight and fulfill their media obligations, etc. So I imagine it has to do with that. Said earlier that Nick wouldn't be doing s primetime, that he didn't even know if he could count on him to do a countdown.

I hope Dana takes Diaz out of the GSP fight and gives it to Hendricks, who deserved the fight from the start. Diaz is a clown who learned nothing from the last time this happened.

GSP/Hendricks and Condit/Diaz would actually work out alright.

Really want to see GSP vs. Diaz though, so I'm hoping he gets the message here. IMO, if Dana really wanted to pull him, he would just do it, and not leak through the media that he's thinking about it.
