I think he scares everyone.
You really don't know what you're getting from him on a nightly basis.

Nah it wouldn't be forever. We don't even need a trade to not start Evans.
I'm looking forward to getting a competent Head Coach in the summer.

NyCeEvO wrote:Well, he's clearly getting the fans to lower their expectation so if a deal doesn't happen, he'll be like "I told you" and if it does, he'll say "Well, we were able to work through difficulties to get the deal done."
At this stage, I'm pretty sure ATL is going to deal Smith and we have one of the most unfavorable deals for them, so Ferry has told BK they're going to see if they can do better, and if not, they'll deal with us.

The Celtics. But do they really have anything better than us?
I just feel like were bidding against ourselves. The Hawks want to get it done.
We just gotta flip Humphries for an expiring contract at this point.

MySportsLegion: NY Post also reports Dwight put on Kobe's jersey and mocked him in front of Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant & others. Kobe didn't appreciate it.
Relations between Kobe Bryant and his Lakers teammate Dwight Howard were beyond icy during the weekend’s All-Star game in Houston — with Howard mocking Bryant behind his back in the locker room, sources exclusively tell Page Six. Amid other reports that the Lakers’ chilly on-court chemistry was spilling into the locker room, we’re told that Howard “grabbed Kobe’s uniform, put it on, and imitated him in front of all the other players on the West team. He was joking and berating Kobe” to fellow NBA stars, including the Clippers’ Chris Paul and Blake Griffin and Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant. The source added Bryant later arrived in the locker room, “said hello to everyone on the team except Howard, grabbed his stuff and moved as far away from Howard as he could.” Despite a recent clear-the-air meeting in Memphis, relations haven’t thawed. At the game, Bryant said, “It doesn’t matter” what his team does with Howard as the trade deadline approaches. Reps for Bryant and Howard didn’t get back to us last night.

The Suns want Smith and we're willing to give a 1st round pick & Gortat which is a far better package than what we can offer.
The Bucks have offered Ellis for Smith and ATL actually like Ellis so again, that blows our offer out of the water. Smith's agent is praying he's traded to Brooklyn so he gets overpaid like Wallace.
SpeedyG wrote:PetroNet wrote:smith loses any leverage the second a team is willing to rent him. and i can certainly see the spurs renting him, if all it costs them is their expirings and a first or mills.
I don't think the Spurs want to risk having an un-resigned and disgruntled Josh Smith on their roster ruining their team's chemistry.
If they make a deal for him, they better be prepared to meet his demands or he can be very toxic.

The thing is your trading for a 27 year old with 'potential' and one that would be getting paid $94m over 5 which is just crazy.

Is Smith really going to sign with them though? Its not certain he wants to re-signs with PHO and same with the Bucks.
With that in mind are those teams going to give that up for a half a season rental in which they don't even make the playoffs.

But apparently Howard doesn't want out and hasn't asked for a trade
Howard is trying to get traded, I still think the Lakers will refuse to move him but you never know. It would take huge balls to force Howard to make a decision in the summer about where he signs as a free agent
