Well, I think these trades are really good short-term/really long-term if you put them together

I think
New beats old
Jennings/Udrih Jennings/Udrih
Redick/Duns Ellis/Duns
Smith/Harris Luc/Harris
Ersan/Henson Ersan/Henson
Sanders/Udoh Sanders/Udoh/Dally

And if we are drafting top 5 in 2014 with cap room, we are in a hell of lot better position than today.

The current season is over. WE're not accomplishing anything this season. Hell, the season was over before it started. Next season is probably over.

If that's the case, then why do you even care? Why follow something that you believe has no hope?

Sure, if they honestly don't retain swag #1. If they do, he, Ersan, Larry as a trio are good enough to keep them hoping to push for the playoffs.

And  about worrying about this season and not about the future.

even if all of them walk we will inevitably overpay someone with the huge amount of cap space we would have

Pay attention to our FA signings. Almost all have negative impact on wins. That money is going to fuel the tank.

Besides giving up the pick, wouldn't some of these moves be great for a blow-up? I mean if all of these guys walk and we still have our young core. We make one run at it this year, all the vets walk, and then we work on building around Henson, Sanders, and possibly Harris if he develops.

If only we signed valuable pieces this off-season and trade them for crap salaries before the next deadline. Use you cap space to find a niche in the market to get more assets.

Herbie couldn't stomach the sucking. We'd match any offer for Jennings/Smoove and probably drastically overpay Reddick.

If you're a tanker, be happy. The delusional Bucks are trying to acquire guys that have a very good shot of leaving in free agency, with the hopes of re-signing them. Coupled with Brandon's rfa status, this team could be severely, SEVERELY barren of talent next season. Next year's draft is loaded with talent. Probably at least five guys with much higher ceilings than anyone on the roster.

and who is your friend....
what kind of deals exactly?....

Can't say, and I'm no insider or anything, just a friend of a friend. The deals have been discussed on this board.

But how are we supposed to have hope for a tank that gets us in the top five next year if we don't trade sanders?? I'm not asking u to defend the strategy, I know u probably don't agree it's the right one, I'm just asking the obvious question... oh And if kohl will accept a tank, why can't we tank by playing young guys instead of trading our assets and letting the rest walk in FA?

If we keep Sanders and Ilyasova the Bucks won't be bad enough to tank. Simple as that.

let's just say for the sake of the argument we overpay out all three. better lineup than we have now at least... i mean don't get me wrong it's overpaying but it's not a bad lineup.

Stealth Tank. JH is being a snake in the grass to Kohl. Load up on mid-level talent this year then watch them all leave and say no one wants to sign with us over the summer. I'm all for this if and only if we are unable to sign anyone that will let us fight for the eighth seed.

Yup. If the deadline passes the way it's looking more and more like it will, this team is without any hope. Permanently stuck in no mans land for the next 5 years (or at least until Sanders gets traded or signs with another team). Fmfl

Paschke made an off hand reference on the last telecast to Tobias getting a bigger role... could this be why?

Locked into the 8th seed for the length of those deals. Might as well deal Henson. :(

Well unless either are hurt or someone worse is playing ahead of either. The EC will also be stronger next year.
