stein confirming:

Orlando, meanwhile, continues to seek no less than a first-round pick for sharpshooter J.J. Redick, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent in July.

This looks more like a 3-5 seed team to me for the next few years, actually, with how much the east sucks.

Yup. If the deadline passes the way it's looking more and more like it will, this team is without any hope. Permanently stuck in no mans land for the next 5 years (or at least until Sanders gets traded or signs with another team). Fmfl

Wouldn't say that. So long as we don't overpay Jennings and Ellis we're not totally screwed

Tank like gunning for high chances for the top pick, no. But I definitely think we're lottery if that is all we have. If you add Jennings to that, though - even with as much as I dislike him - the three of them are good enough to give Herbie faith in making the 8th seed in such a **** conference.

Smith is going to hit a brick wall in a few years. Older player who relies totally on athleticism. We'd lose Sanders as a cap casualty when he hits his walk year.

If we trade for Smith and Redick and they walk at the end of the season then that's fine, I would rather throw more money at Milsap & Mayo anyways.

I've always looked at it like being involved in an abusive relationship. You love it, but it treats you horribly. No way out.

I don't think Ersan/Sanders win you a ton of games. Neither is the type of guy that can control the offense. If you take Dally, Duns, Ellis, LRMAM, and Jennings off this team, They would be lucky to be at 10 wins right now.

I really don't understand how a starting lineup of Street FA/Lamb/Harris/Ersan/Sanders wins more than 15 games in a season.

let's just say for the sake of the argument we overpay out all three. better lineup than we have now at least... i mean don't get me wrong it's overpaying but it's not a bad lineup.

We make one run at it this year, all the vets walk, and then we work on building around Henson, Sanders, and possibly Harris if he develops.

plus get back a some picks or young guys in some s/ts possibly. we could make it known wed be willing to s/t every single one of them.

U seriously need to post a lot more on the bucks board and not just the packers board. It would be aggravating and certainly won't be easy for u I realize, but plenty of people on this board could use the reality check. Do as u will, just my two cents... :-)

If Redick is worth a first, then so is Dunleavy.

Counteroffer:

LRMAM for Redick and orl '13 unprotected 1st

Let's ask whats easier to find, a 26 yrold elite defender at three positions on a cheap contract or a shorter more expensive Mike Dunleavy, JR at age 29?

Just reup MDjr and have him run the court barefoot and in a slight crouch (well more of a slight crouch than the current slight crouch).

Yeah right, we are the 8th seed right now, and adding Redick & Smith would be a significant upgrade over Moute & Ellis. We be locked in to fighting for the 4th/5th seed.

um maybe not ersan but sanders has proven how important he is in winning you games.... have you seen the collapse when he's been out the last 2 weeks....?

Thanks I guess, problem is I'm going to school in Indiana and can't watch Bucks games.
