David Stern's brainwashed you son. He is an All-NBA defensive player. He hasn't been named to the All-NBA defensive team, but who takes those lists seriously when Kobe is the SG named every year?

He's probably the best man defender behind Tony Allen. And he's maybe surpassed him, as Allen has been quiet this year.

Defense and offense are two completely different games.

Do you consider Ben Wallace in his prime with the Pistons to be a bad player? Because he may have been the worst offensive C in the NBA. IDK why you keep pairing the two (offense and defense) as if one helps weigh the other.

LRMAM is an elite defender. Top 3 in the NBA. Just because he's bad on offense doesn't make him a lesser defender. That makes zero sense.

Finally caught up. This deal is awful. I probably wouldnt mind trading LRMAM straight up, tbh, but adding the first is definitely a no go. However, if they offered the same deal except swapping Redick out with Afflalo, Id do that.

It would be a terrible trade regardless of whether he re signs, since we can offer him the same contract even if we don't trade for him.

So, we agree.

Thank you. I said this in the Smith thread. It makes no sense whatsoever.

Tell me more about Redick, I value your opinion.

Yeah I also wouldn't mind including the first if we got Affalo.

Jennings/Affalo/Smith/Ersan/Sanders is a well balanced starting lineup

I would think only way your team does this if JJ agrees to sign long term. If he does, then he's worth it. Dude doesn't really have a weakness to his game (maybe defense as he's smaller, but he more then makes up for it with IQ and effort) as far as role players go and you guys could use a player who makes everyone else on the floor better rather then conflicting skill sets.

I wouldn't worry, this probably gets turned into a larger deal with other teams, if it goes down at all.

Gery Woelfel ‏@GeryWoelfel

Surplus of young talent and a suspect draft puts Bucks in position to move their 2013 top pick.

More like dearth of talent, and the weakness in the draft is at the top, smh

Probably b/c he has been annoying me on offense and I worry about his knee.

The draft is really the only thing left about the Bucks that I enjoy. I'd be pissed if they traded their pick and didn't get a pick back somewhere else. Plus I want G-Rob 3.

lrmam has a lot more value on the court then what he does around the league imo. He's a player every contender would want.

Thats about the best case scenario for non blow up trades I think.

With Skiles gone, Moute doesn't have his biggest supporter anymore.

And Moute at SF just hasn't taken off very well. His position is PF. And if we are going to have Ersan and Josh Smith manning that, with Henson in reserve, we are overloaded there.

Would be happy with a Moute for Redick even up deal.

I'd rather have Afflalo because of the contract situation, but Redicks a better player this season while also fitting better on our team imo

If we were sending a future first round pick, then I am for it.

1) Everyone has already said Bucks will not do this trade without getting it signed in contract Redick will resign.

2) if we trade them a future first round pick, I would be interested to see if we could then get the Magic to send a 2nd round pick to the Thunder for Eric Maynor, and then forward Maynor to us as part of the Redick trade.

3) Dealing for Redick leads me to assume that we are going to trade Ellis for Josh Smith. On top of this keeping Harris, Henson, and Sanders. That is a win win, even if Smith turns out to be a rental, none of us would argue against Smith being better for us and overall then Monta.

Jennings, Redick, Smith, Ersan, and Sanders. Off the Bench we could have Maynor, Udrih, Mike, Henson, and Daly.
I think that the Bucks can compete for the 4 seed, only being 4 games back, essentially compete for the 3 seed even with Indiana, being only 5 back.
