And Moute at SF just hasn't taken off very well. His position is PF. And if we are going to have Ersan and Josh Smith manning that, with Henson in reserve, we are overloaded there.

Would be happy with a Moute for Redick even up deal.

A late lotto pick plus Moute should get us a JLamb or Terrence Ross level guy, not a guy that is about to turn 29 and be a UFA and has averaged 9.2ppg over a 7 year period. Plus we'll probably pay him even more than the MLE. This is going to be a repeat of the Fear the Deer offseason where we overpaid Salmons and Gooden, but this time it'll be Redick and Smith.

Surplus of young talent and a suspect draft puts Bucks in position to move their 2013 top pick.

More like dearth of talent, and the weakness in the draft is at the top, smh

Hmm? Theres quite a few good players at the top of this draft. Just no clear cut #1. This draft really doesnt have very much depth at all, maybe it will have a lot of career bench guys, but the middle of the 1st in this draft are without a doubt pretty weak. This draft falls off a cliff after the lottery imo.

You are what you can defend. Vague notions like hasnt taken off very well - cry out like - "I dont like it that the Bucks have selfish players that put themselves in horrible positions on offense so I'll blame the young elite defender that covers everyone else's ass on the other end and now has to take a 18ft shot at the end of the shot clock which is the weakness he has that allows him to be on a nice contract."

So Milwaukee Bucks thinking.

Trade the pick since we would pick a PF like usual.

I don't know which side proposed this trade, but one thing that hasn't been mentioned much is the fact that it's really depressing to see LRMAM's trade value be regarded so lowly by some gm (whether it's ours or theirs). On his contract he should be a legit asset if you ignore this season. I think playing him at sf has been brutal for everyone involved, except any team that gets to take advantage of the Bucks' misfortune/mismanagement and trade for him for 50 cents on the dollar.

Looking at the last 4 years, I probably wouldn't even trade him for Reddick straight-up. Considering this season and the team's logjam at pf, I would be more inclined to. But a first? Hell no.

I like Redick, I've been really impressed with how he's worked on his game and adapted to both playing in the NBA and different game styles that the Magic have run with. His D has improved a fair bit over the years, too- but I don't remember it ever being as awful as people seemed to think; I remember him early on locking down Ramon in a game at the BC on a few trips down the court when Ramon was going through his beast mode phase (seriously, why did we get nothing for him?) and being relatively impressed by his D.

I like Luc, but I'd pull the trigger to trade him for Redick. The 1st rounder is a bit much, but I can see John getting desperate enough to do something and pulling the trigger on that.

I'm not getting too worried until this deal would actually go down.

I think Moute for Reddick even up is a good haul for Orlando if they don't intend to pay Redick 4/$28 in the offseason.

I like almost every player currently ranked 10-20 in this draft, so I guess we disagree.

Assuming most players come out that most believe will, this draft is extremely strong with NBA talent.

McLemore
Zeller
Smart
Noel
Bennett
Muhammad
Porter
Len
Carter-Williams
McCollum
Robinson
Caldwell
Goodwin
Burke
Oladipo

That's 15 right there that I think anyone would be happy with us getting and theres a few guys ranked higher then them that I left out as well. The myth about this draft is a false on by a pretty wide margin IMO.

If you do want to put a positive spin on things Tobias would be the only SF under contract for next season

I think we will end up with Ben Gordon. Then Hammond can say the price to acquire was just too high for Redick.

That is if you don't think Smith will see a lot of time at the three.

If the price is like Gooden and something I rather have Gordon honestly. By a wide margin.

Btw, I'd MUCH rather give up Jennings for Reddick than LRMAM and a first, if it came down to that (obviously I hope it doesn't).

Jennings/Gooden/LRMAM for Reddick/Nelson/Nicholson.

Unless you're still drinking the "Jennings is a future star" Kool-Aid (which expired in late 2011 and went completely rancid in February 2012), that's a pretty fair deal for the Bucks.

Or if you assume Smith will walk in the offseason...which he would.

I think we are literally the only team in the league that would possibly give him 5/90. Maybe theres only a 25% chance he gets that from us, but theres a 0% chance he gets it from anyone else.
