yeah, it either just means Allen plays the same style so he's assuming Allen would think he'd be a good fit. Or, he's talked to Allen about it, and Allen actually said that he thinks he'd be a good fit.

I think thats pretty well known and no secret, so I'm not sure thats what Goodwill is alluding to, although I think that would play a part in getting Allen to sign here.

Did Allen get that gangbanger price on his head issue settled or does he still need increased security whenever in Chicago? And would Chicago be too close a drive to Detroit?

Me too. Im getting very worried that we will see Monta Ellis in a Pistons uniform.

To me, a perfect offseason would be - letting Calderon, Bynum, Max, Maggette all walk in FA and trading or Waving Rodney Stuckey.

I would target a perimeter defender that can hit the 3 (Corey Brewer), a PF/C that can hit a jumper (Hickson), and a go to wing scorer (Mayo, Gordon, Gallo, Granger, etc.. )

We have the perfect opportunity to completely rebuild the team this offseason, hopefully Joe D doesnt repeat 2009 and screw us up.

I can totally see Dumars spending our $30-ish million on Ellis, Iggy, and West

Knight
Ellis
Iggy
West
Monroe / Drummond

Don't scare me like that, PP....

:(

Iggy/Ellis sends chills down my spine, and not in a good way. A wing combo that attemps 7 threes per day and makes less than 30% of them. Ick.

At least the offseason will be fun. Been awhile since we could say that.

Last time we had an offseason this interesting was 2009.

Of course, that one ended in calimity. Hopefully Dumars has learned from past mistakes and DOESN'T sign a player like Ellis just so he doesn't have to say he came out empty.

This squad isn't a complete re-build but it has playoff potential...

Hoping we conserve a good portion (25-50%) of our cap space for a rainy day. Split $15-$20 million on 3 guys:

SG Xavier Henry
SF Al-Farouq Aminu
PF Earl Clark

These guys are all young, athletic, and ready to BUST OUT imo. Commit to the youth. Draft BPA with our lottery pick. Run more of an up-tempo system and watch some fun, exciting basketball for once.

Knight / Stuckey
Henry / Stuckey / English
Aminu / Singler / Middleton
Monroe / Clark / CV
Drummond / Monroe / Kravtsov
+lottery pick and 2nd rounders = 15 guys.

1) Stuckey moves into 6th-man role full-time.

2) Henry gives Knight a shooter to pass to finally.

3) Aminu/Singler/Middleton run SF by committee until someone separates themself. What Aminu does well, Singler not so much - and vice versa. Makes for a great pairing depth-wise. Middleton pushes English for backup SG minutes as well.

4) Monroe starts at PF, but Clark still gets 25-30 minutes per with Monroe getting some PT at C, forming legit 3-man big rotation.

5) Drummond starts!!

6) Lottery pick and 2nd rounders are all icing on the cake.

7) Most of all, we have a very young, athletic team with a good balance of shooters, slashers, defenders, and overall 'plus' skill/talent.

I'd rather this variation:

Knight
Draft pick (Mac, Oladipo) We're going to get top 3 this year!!!!
Iggy
Monroe
Drummond
