Wagner Prado, Mike Russow, Jacob Volkmann, Vladimir Matyushenko, Che Mills, Jay Hieron, Terry Etim, Paul Sass, Jorge Santiago, Mike Stumpf, Simeon Thoresen, C.J. Keith, Motonobu Tezuka, Josh Grispi and Ulysses Gomez too.

Some surprises here. Volkmann is the most boring fighter ever and his personality sucks to high heaven, but he's 6-2 as a LW. Letting go of Sass makes no sense either. And yer gonna cut Mills for losing to Rory and then losing to Riddle who makes everyone look like crap, himself included?

And Fitch? WTF? Maybe he's too expensive. No one pays to watch him fight.

Jon F'n Fitch can beat almost every guy in the WW division......WTF.

I mean, this guy is an elite fighter.

Bellator, start signing, because you will get some good fighters out of this.

Very strange. Etim and Sass have 6+ SOTNs between them. Hieron got caught, big deal. And Volkmann is, yeah, 6-2.

Bellator's gains. Cos a lot of their own dudes are starting to look played-out - no way do I want to see some of the guys enter their fourth tourney.

I 100% agree with you. But at the end of the day, I want to watch the best fighters compete with each other and Fitch is on that level. Its not about Fitch, its about getting the best guys to compete agaisnt eachother and compiling the best talent. Its analogous to the fighter pay situation. Just because prelim fighter x doesn't bring in a ton of revenue on his own, the fact that the prelim guys as a whole are quality pays off a lot for the ufc. Fitch has been with the ufc forever and I read he's 14-3-1.

In the meantime, guys like Dan Hardy can go on 4 fight losing streaks. Hell, even bigger name guys like BJ and Tito would get a fight tomorrow if they wanted one and neither of those guys win.

Keep in mind maybe they're freeing up some of the UK fighters only to allow them to fight in smaller shows before the UFC returns again to Europe. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they all exited with some sort of handshake. Sass and Mills especially need cage experience. Though I think Mills is shite.

Cos a lot of these guys aren't rleatively valuable in U.S. locations, why hold them back from experience they could be getting in Cage Rags or wherever?

Sass's attempt at a flying triangle was awesome, eff, and he almost got it too.

Don't try and be a fighter kids, not unless you are going to be elite, know how to politic, or if you are content with a paycheque-to-paycheque job.

I am starting to really dislike Dana and Joe Silva.

Two pansies bossing around bulldogs.

It's times like this when I desperately want Vince McMahon to make a MMA splash. There needs to be better NA competition than Bellator.

And this is why we should have all seen these sort of things coming.

Diaz getting a shot at GSP off suspension.

Sonnen getting a TUF gig and title **** with Jones.

Dana's ego growing by the day.

Jon Fitch, the elite fighter is out.
Ronda "I Blew Dana" is in.

Life is getting busy for me now, and the UFC is starting to really piss me off.
I will admit to my Diaz fanboyness, but other than that, I am really not happy with how they treat people.

MMA is getting unfair.

This is not fair to these guys.

Good points here, I can see some of these guys being back for local cards. Not that they were future title contenders or anything, really.

While surprising, I don't have a problem with too many of these outside of Fitch and probably Volkmann.

For sure... a few of these guys should retire like Janitor and Hieron. Mills had two chances already (was KO'd by James Wilkes to get into the TUF house... killed the whole season as they planned for Mills winning, apparently). And Gomez might be the most overrated fighter ever. He was supposed to be good.

But the #9 guy in YOUR OWN welterweight rankings? Stupid.

Outside of Fitch and Volkmann, I don't have any issues here really. Fitch is boring and makes a ton of money, so I get it even if I think it stinks. If you are 14-3-1 in the UFC, you should be getting ready for your Hall of Fame induction, not getting cut.

Askren vs. Fitch please.

It may even be a way to stay in the UFC, by taking fights all the time, and then getting injured in camp,
and taking another fight, and getting re-injured.

If you are a low-tier guy, you'd make no money, but you'd always be a UFC fighter. :D

I think that the UFC signs Fitch to a new, cheaper contract now. NFL teams sometimes cut their own guys and then sign them to smaller deals.

Fitch is an elite WW who has had 2 FOTN, one as recently as October of 2011.

This is the same company that puts Arianny first class, and fighters in economy on the same flight.

I stream a ton, used to feel a bit bad, as I know what it is like to get ripped a bit,
but now I will continue my ways.

I am also unsure as to why this is so bothersome, it is not my job, not my money,
but I feel like this is just another instance of fight promoters treating the fighters like numbers and breathing meat.
