Chris Broussard ‏@Chris_Broussard One of the teams Utah has talked to about Paul Millsap is Minnesota. The name of the very available Derrick Williams came up.

I'm fairly certain that is just a different way of saying, "Minnesota called up Utah to ask if they'd be interested in Derrick Williams" with no hint of what Utah's interest was. Or vice versa.

i'd do this deal. i like it for the jazz. not sure about minnesota though.

i doesn't work straight up though. needs fillers. williams + cunningham for millsap + murphy works.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Seems like the makings of a three team deal. Minnesota has no need for Millsap.

My guess is Minny would be looking for a pick along with Millsap, could be wrong.

They could be, but I don't see the FO biting on that.

In the name of creating the first all white NBA team in 75 years I'd be willing to part with Gordon Hayward. Now if Denver can just pull the trigger on the Mozgof deal....

Milsap isn't going to stay so we might as well get something.

Millsap and Raja Bell for Ridnour and Derrick Williams.

L.A. likes Millsap quite a bit. What would it take for you to part with him?

If we are gonna trade him (which I doubt it) then I rather dump him off to houston since they can surely use him and have 6.8 mil in cap space. Include cleveland since we are at max capacity.

Houston gets:
Millsap

Cleveland gets:
T.Jones
M. Morris

Utah Gets:
Future Cleveland 1st rd
J. Shelby

Something like that I guess

A third team... with something worth trading for. Nash is the only player on LA I'd trade for. (Kobe and Dwight obviously excluded)

Im thinking it would be Millsap and one of the Utah Jazz #1 pick (maybe even adding the GSW #1 pick) for Williams and Ridnour. Good try by the Jazz and allows Favors and Kanter more minutes. I liked Williams a lot out of Arizona and Im not sure what has happened to him in Minnesota.

You'd be getting value back for Millsap but just so ya know... Williams is stuck between the 3 and 4 spot right now. And you have Haywood & Favors obviously. Nothing wrong with getting a young asset back though.

I'd be beating down the Nets door though.

The Jazz don't want to take back any contracts, they value their cap space more than some scrub or average player. The only think that would be enticing would be a promising young PG or high draft picks, wherein the Jazz would be able to maintain their flexibility this offseason.
