I posted this mostly because of what CP3 says about Bledsoe. CP3 is quoted in the interview saying "nothing is needed". He then goes on to give Bled some really high praise! Good read!

Clippers are not in a trading mood

Because Bledsoe, 23, and Jordan, 24, are so young, Del Negro was asked whether he needed to talk with them about the rumors.

"No, because if I felt it was necessary, I would do that," Del Negro said. "But there are a bunch of needs out there. Like you said, they are young players that teams covet and that's a good thing. That's a good thing for us. That's a good thing for them.

"But we feel good with our team right now. ... Nothing has been presented to any of us that makes sense for us to do anything different right now. But we're always available, always looking to make our team as strong as possible. But right now, we feel comfortable with our team."

From what I've read, Boston continues to be the aggressors in getting a deal done. The Clippers are listening, but aren't as motivated to make a move as Boston is.

I made a long post in the chemistry thread why I want it to happen, if the Celtics can sweeten the deal by adding a decent backup player I think the Clips would do it.

Have a feeling a deal will be made. Maybe something small like Trey for Jermaine O'Neal, but something will go down.

Or maybe the Celtics panic and accept just DJ and a pick for KG

We should go after O'neal if he's bought out. We're slightly under the luxury tax threshold. We should be able to pay the prorated amount for him or any other bought out player and remain under the tax threshold.

If it ended up DJ and Bledsoe for Garnett, I'd want Bradley coming back this way.

This was the equivalent to getting a lump of coal in your stocking. I didn't think we would do anything, but was hoping from some kind of excitement around the league (preferably in the eastern conference). JJ Redick was the biggest name moved.

Milwaukee recieved JJ Redick, Gustavo Ayon and Ish Smith from Orlando in exchange for Tobias Harris, Beno Udrih and Doron Lamb.

Knicks traded Ronnie Brewer to OKC for 2nd rounder.

OKC sent Eric Maynor to Portland for TPE ($2.2M).

Celtics traded Leandro Barbosa and Jason Collins to Washington for Jordan Crawford.

Dallas acquired Anthony Morrow from the Hawks in exchange for Dahntay Jones.

Charlotte traded Hakim Warrick for Josh McRoberts.

Miami sent Dexter Pittman and a 2nd round pick to Memphis for rights to Ricky Sanchez.

boy, am i glad the trade deadline has passed. now we don't have to be bombarded with idiotic trade proposals, annoying and persistent utah jazz fans, or dumb BSPN analysts who exaggerate and create fictitious clipper dramas.

Yeah nothing great happened on Thursday. I'm glad we didn't trade for KG. I'd like to see how far this current group can go and make adjustments based on our results. I'd rather make a significant trade in the off season.
