pretty disappointing we can't get rid of any of these other guys stealing time from our kids
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Yup, they did. I was honestly insulted by that.

For all those sulking about no action, you gotta realise that deals wont happen til the last minute. This is a deadline driven league. Other teams are holding out coz they think rob will need to trade him and will accept a weaker deal, meanwhile rob is telling everyone he is fine with keeping jj, hoping this entices teams to up their offers. With this many teams lining up for him, were bound to end up with fireworks at some point. Just be patient

Hey I'm tryin bro. But the longer we wait the
More opportunities go out te window. I just wanna see the smallest adjustment, anything... That tells our fans "we are working on it, WE WILL win a championship soon...

I don't see that in no deals. Simultaneously I understand the idea of being the last seller.

I'd we don't make a trade I hope we release Gustavo Ayon and every single 1 year deal we have. Buy out Turk etc... It's just hard to find a bright spot in the rough when your team looks likes a junkyard with a few prospects.

if Jameer's injury is serious, i wouldn't be surprised to see any JJ trade bring back a PG, too.

Barea + Min 1st

Udrih + Mil 1st

Bledsoe

and so on.

dark horse is Utah....

UTA: JJ
ORL: Watson + Burks

MIN: McRoberts + TPE

Vuc/KOQ
Nicholson/Ayon
Harkless/Jones
AA/Burks/Roy
Ish/Moore/Watson

gets us a quality young player, an extra pick, and doesn't take on salary beyond next season.

Really like De Colo, would be pretty happy if we could get deal centered around him and a 1st

can't say i'm fussed by any of the SAS players, and the ones I do like, SAS probably won't give up for JJ.

and SAS' draft pick will likely be the very last pick in the 1st round. i'd rather have Charlotte's 1st 2nd round pick than that.

San Antonio jumping on the we-want-Redick bandwagon is no surprise. Something like Stephen Jackson, Cory Joseph, and the #30 pick of the draft for Redick and Smith is believable.

^It's been a rough season to watch so far and I don't see it getting any better aside from hypothetically winning our home game against LA. It's the trade deadline, I think some whining is justified.^

Spurs might be able to take back a bigger contract with JJ?

Spurs Receive: JJ Redick and Al Harrington
Magic Receive: Stephen Jackson (expiring) and Gary Neal

Works in trade machine: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine/?tradeId=ajl4zvk
You can swap Neal out with any of the other players of similar salary on the Spurs to make a deal more fair if you don't think that one is. I think the real value is ditching Harrington's deal.

From the O-Sen:
J.J. Redick only has a few more hours in an Orlando Magic uniform and will be dealt by tomorrow's NBA trade deadline.

Or so predicted NBA insider Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated on our Open Mike radio show Wednesday.

Not sure what Gary Neal brings to Orlando. One of the project point guards makes more sense: Patty Mills or Cory Joseph. And the Spurs #30 is no real loss for that team.

If Harrington is secretly healthy, he plus Redick would be huge assets for the Spurs towards yet another title run.

Harrington/Redick for Jackson/Joseph/#30 is intriguing for both teams.
