Biggest obstacle to that lineup (other than ACL risk) is forfeiting our ability to compete for Wiggins next year. That team is just too good. Rondo/Harkless is also a particularly poor-shooting pairing.

Redick would fit on that team like a glove....haha

Rondo would also walk ALL OVER Jacque Vaughn. He'd eat Jacque for breakfast.

That is if JV is here next year..

This has been a very calm deadline run so far .. Wonder if all the action is yet to happen or if there won't be anything big besides Josh Smith ..

I'd go for that deal and I think it'd be good for both sides. Celtics fans probably disagree because they most likely want to see a big name in return (Dwight for example was mentioned in a Rondo trade).

As for the makeup for our team I'd see us drafting McLemore to make up for the shooting of Rondo and Harkless and Afflalo being traded (minny for example, Roy+their first rounder).

That would leave us with:

Nik Vucevic, Kyle O'Quinn
Glen Davis, Ayon
Moe Harkless, Dequan Jones
Ben McLemore, Jason Terry
Rajon Rondo, E'Twaun Moore

That group is to inexperienced to make the playoffs next year and probably will have a shot at the top 5 picks.

We all just have to accept that we are going to end up with a decent talent + late first round pick for JJ. Regardless of where it is coming from, that seems to be what will happen.

Orlando has secured offers of first-round picks for J.J. Redick, sources tell Y! Sports. So far, those belong to teams drafting in the 20's.

!!!!!!!!!

(guessing Spurs, Minnesota's MEM pick)

I want to see a 3 team trade between Boston, Orlando, and San Antonio. I am sure there is something that can help all 3 teams

What are the deals that Detroit & Milwaukee are offering? At least those picks would have nice potential to become something of value.

Wow Houston could actually have a very good selling point to Dwight if they manage to get Josh Smith. Asik, Parsons and some of their young PF's would be great value for Josh and would also put Houston in a position where it has Lin/Harden/Smith and enough capspace to entice Dwight. Besides that they have some nice youth too.. Very solid what Morey has done!

I do really think that JJ is gonna get traded before 3pm. I will miss the guy, he has been my fav player on the team since Gortat left. Really respect his attitude and hustle/hard work. Last night he was mad that we lost as usual, will miss that fire.

IDK Harden takes all the shots that Dwight wants and Lin takes all the attention he wants lol.

Bucks Pick + Tobias Harris + Expiring = Major Coup in my mind

We're not getting Sanders or Henson or Jennings (not that I'd want Jennings). Ekpe looks to be involved in the rumored J-Smith trade.

Bucks keep "upping the ante" in pursuit of JJ according to Ken Berger (CBS Sports).

We should all be praying that the Bucks land Smith, coz that will mean they are in greater need for a SG!

I have a nagging feeling that JJ will still be in a Magic uniform after 3pm today. I would hate to see him go because he is a good team player but the Magic can not really afford to keep him and pay him what he wants. Especially with Afflalo still here. And I do not think they will be able to get a decent draft pick (lower than in the 20's) for him.

And yes! The goal IS to tank. You do not get better by being mediocre. But you DO need a good GM who can accurately judge talent. We will see if Henny is up to the task.
THAT'LL BE THE DAY!

Yup, by clearing cap space and collecting assets (draft picks). sounds familiar.
