NYK as much as I hate to say it is just better than any team in the atlantic

about that....

knicks are going in the complete opposite direction of the rest of the atlantic right now.

since the knicks last win over the nets(december 19th):

Nets 20-10
Knicks 13-14
Celtics 17-11
Raps 16-13

hows that working out for you?

It's working out fine. The nets still are a bad team. They're just playing over their heads right now, like they did early on in the year. The knicks will the Atlantic by a wide margin. End of story.

man it sucks that the nets stopped playing over their heads and the knicks dominance has led to such a wide margin in the division

The Knicks aren't very good. They just overachieved early in the season.

I am going to go ahead and say no. I give NJ no chance to catch the Knicks. Philly, Boston and Toronto are way too back to have that chance.

Yeah, man. It was borderline heresy to even suggest that their early season success was aided by hot 3pt shooting. I acknowledged their defensive effort then too, but that has long since fallen off a cliff. The team just ain't that good right now, and unless they're guns are blazing, they're pretty easy to beat. PEACE.

It's crazy how good a team can be when their shots are falling from all over the place - but when everyone plays to their averages, we really see how good (or bad) they are.

It's like this for any team who relies on long distance shooting as much as the Knicks do/did. They still have yet to find a way to incorporate Melo as a playmaker and use his greatness to their advantage - but I'd say that's more on Melo than the staff itself.

Still a long ways to go and to top it off, the Knicks are still 2nd in the Conference.

Let's get real. NJ is barely winning games. They are still down 3 losses. Their schedule is not getting any easier. Don't hold your breath NJ fans. You will be lucky to keep the fourth spot.

Unless you're referring to the Devils, I don't think there's a New Jersey team being discussed here...

You guys really just don't know what you are talking about... Sorry..

We were winning the cold 3pt games earlier in the season, with Shumpert and Amare back we are going inside far more often just as a team we are playing like **** in every facet of the game. Saying LOL THE 3 POINTS STOPPED GOING IN shows a pretty clear lack of knowledge of the Knicks problems right now.

Yea, id much rather get blown out by 35 points against indy then to "only" beat them in overtime by a few points...without Dwill

the nets have more wins then the knicks right now so it's possible that they can win the atlantic division but i doubt it... i just can't see the nets winning the division & i don't see the celtics catching either team...

5-2 is not a bad stretch (I am being optimistic of course). The Knicks will not go 0-5 so it ain't enough to catch. After that, things are going downhill for NJ. Good news for NJ is Williams may sit down for a while if the injury is serious. CJ is a good player and JJ shines without Deron. If you guys can somehow unload Deron today for an expiring, things may get significantly better.
