You know, I'd be tempted to send them back their first...but I've read that trading Hickson would actually cause him to lose his bird rights (not sure how, but ok), and in that case there'd be literally no reason for him to re-sign with us since we can't offer him anything more than anyone else without bird rights.

I think we'll see a few of these small player-for-player trades go down in the next hour though.

This d**n Josh Smith deal is gong to go to the last minute, and might hold up other deals. GET OFF THE F***^&^& POT HAWKS!

Also, why can't we make a deal for Hickson? If they back off to a 2nd rounder, why not deal them Hendo and a 2nd for him? I like Hickson, and he would be a fine addition that wouldn't cost the moon to sign longer term.

International Wolves and Charlotte fan here. That's wrong in so many levels, but would you do Derrick Williams for Biyombo trade?

Unless we see a good bit of value in having Hickson for the second half (really final 3rd) of this season, there's no real benefit if he loses his bird rights.

Trying to re-sign him would be like signing any other UFA, and we wouldn't have the ability to exceed the cap to re-sign him. Basically, any assets would give up for him would be just for a half season, with re-signing him just as difficult as if he stayed with the Blazers or went elsewhere.

We are Not Dead on Hump/Gordon deal...Josh going elsewhere. Deal should come down right at 3pm deadline.
Also Henderson for 1st round pick still out there and may happen. :wink:

All these tweets are about how every team is unlikely to do this or that and unlikely to do anything at all. They are literally tweets about how there is nothing worth tweeting.

This is more like the MLB trade deadline.

And the Josh Smith stuff is annoying as all hell at this point.
