I just texted Hammond "We getting Josh Smith?"

He texted me back "Good ?"

His reply makes no sense, which doesn't shock me at all.

What'd you like most about Tobias Harris?

He was great on the bench. Not sure how good he is off the bench though cuz he never got up.

Yeah, too much fuss about this it seems. You guys could've given up a 2nd rounder in 2050 and been in the same angry mood cuz you gave up "assets".

LOL. You don't even know what you gave up!

Tobias is really raw, especially defensively which is why he fell out of the rotation completely. He had a monster summer league, started as our opening day SF, but couldn't defend a lick and never really fit in the flow of the offense. I still think he has potential to be a 15 PPG guy, but his defense is a question mark.

Wait, when? We're still in it?

His reply is open to interpretation. I think he needs some of Herb's senility pills.

Ekpe Udoh, Luc Mbah-Moute, Beno Udrih and a protected No. 1 pick is what ATL pulled out of

But the point is, given that Hammond is going balls out trying to make the playoffs, under those circumstances, you could very much argue he made a "good trade". Not one that most will agree with because they want the team to move in a different direction. But all in all, this trade made the Bucks better for the rest of the season which was his near-sighted goal.

If it's at all possible that we're still talking/going after Smith in the off-season, then it makes sense. His response was "Good question"

My guess is Hammond was blindsided by Atlanta pulling out at the last second.

Send him this:

U suck so hard. How the f*ck could u keep Ellis on this team. You are going to end up being the biggest reason why the bucks move in a few years. We need to hang on to young talent, not trade it for expiring vets that we will have to overpay to resign in the offseason. My a 8 yr old nephew would be less of a joke as a GM than u are. I hope U get fired even with that (Please Use More Appropriate Word) 3 year extension u got a couple months ago. Get f*cked

No, you can't argue it's a good trade. Redick doesn't even make up the difference to the 7th seed.

Why get Redick, but keep Ellis?

I'm not saying they played their cards correctly, but they wouldn't have included Ellis. Hawks pulled out.

Just tweeted Redick:

@JJRedick Sorry about the bad news mate. Nobody deserves to be a Buck. Coming from a guy who's been a fan since he was 3y/o

I would have had no problem giving up those guys for Smith...He bolts, you are out a first and have a lot of cap room to start fresh...plus I'll wager that Morrow was coming back in that deal, and instead got sent to Dallas after this fell thru.
