I think your GM saw what I saw last Sunday with Ayon totally destroying the Blazers with high energy, wide body, and touch. Of course, do the Bucks really need another power player? But Ayon could be the hidden gem in this trade. Could be a good backup big next year, if not this one.

I don't think too many care too much about this particular trade. What we want to know is WHY IS ELLIS STILL ON THE TEAM?

Pussies.

The Bucks are lining up to try and pay three SGs.

That's how you do it if you wanna run with the big dogs.

LOL! Your management should do the slow rebuild, not this middle of the road stuff.

If this didn't work, nothing will. :(

But will his career ever eclipse that of NBA Legend Daniel Santiago?

That is the real question.

Epi, he turns 28 in April and in this deal we still kept Dalembert, Henson and Udoh on our roster. We just didn't need another role player bench big. We needed a guy who could move the needle. Most of us made our deal with the devil the last 24 hours to accept Josh Smith in that role.

I am not a fan of tobias losing him doesn't bother me. I don't know what all the man love is on this forum about him I see nothing out of him when he plays.
Lamb is to early to move and I don't like that hes included in this deal.
I think moving Udrih is fine because he was going to leave regardless after this year anyway.

However
Reddick ( If Ellis is kept) is going to be 6th man. He's expressed no interest in coming off the bench in orlando and was complaining about getting his chance to start. I don't see why he would be content here doing that. I don't see us keeping him and really don't see any potential of us acquiring him with this current roster.

My other issue is we basically just got 2 scrub players back for atleast 1 young potential.

I also feel it should be noted that the 2 'scrubby' players we traded we drafted. Magic's 'scrubby' players were undrafted free agents. They had nothing to lose on those 2 guys. We had something invested in ours. This sucks.

LOL at myself for getting my dick up a little bit for a guy I thought was about 4-5 years younger than he turned out to be.

Sad to see Tobes go, but I'm totally fine with this deal provided we re-sign or get something for a sign-and-trade for Redick in the offseason. Ayon has nice a jumper and is a pretty good passer, he will probably be the primary backup to Larry before the season is over with. Ish Smith is pretty athletic and a good penetrator, he should have some success with creating for our bigs.

I'm looking forward to Saturday's game.

The thing is, Ayon probably carries the same value as an "asset" as Tobias, but most here won't accept that fact.

EDIT: Didnt know he was 28. Still doesnt really change my stance though that Tobes was not worth much, and Ayon may still pan out.

I don't care about this year in the least. This deal will be remembered as good or bad depending on if Redick re-signs at a decent figure. I think he fits what they need at the 2 really well. But if he walks, we gave up a lot for a rental when we're going to get swept by Miami. I would've preferred just signing him in the offseason.

I don't like Tobias going out, and I don't understand allowing the Swag Empire to continue its reign whilst bringing in Redick. But, and I can't believe I'm going to say this- and I know it's because I have a level of detachment from the team that allows me it which most on here don't- I'm happy to see how it plays out. I do think Redick is a good, smart player; in the back of my mind somehow this is going to result in Monta doing more play making and spending more time at PG with Beno going, which in theory at times we've all been okay with the idea of Monta if he just accepted being a PG.

That said, JJ has spent time at the point for Orlando and if nothing else if he does end up backing up BJ then it finally will give us that white point guard from Duke.

Magic fan here, I am just really curious about everything that just happened. I just got home and got word of everything that went down.

From what I hear most of you are high on Tobias which is good to see (from a Magic standpoint). What about Beno and Lamb. What are your opinions on those two players? I was under the impression that Beno seemed like a decent PG while Jennings, or am I mistaken?

Thanks for the input,

Your friendly neighborhood MagicFan
