We kept Sammy because we wanted him for the "playoff run". No need for Ayon. He had one swag 16 point game against Stotts. That's it.

I'm sure he will play well in some spurts. But we've already got five bigs on the roster who do that.

I think he fits what they need at the 2 really well. But if he walks, we gave up a lot for a rental when we're going to get swept by Miami. I would've preferred just signing him in the offseason.

And, unfortunately, thats why this was the absolute worst case scenario at the deadline IMO. If you get both Josh Smith AND JJ Redick, you could make a run at it THIS year. After the season, extend Josh Smith, let Redick get his $10 mil per from another team, and have a pretty nice young core going forward with Jennings, JSmith, Ersan, and Sanders. Now, not only do the Bucks miss out on JSmith, but watch them feel forced to pay Redick to be their starting SG. And he's never been a starting caliber NBA SG. I would have loved a trade just for JSmith. Or trading for both Smith and Redick. But a trade for just Redick reeks of desperation. Hopefully that desperation doesn't domino into paying him big money.

You have that totally backwards.

A team in our position should be developing a guy like Tobias, who is clearly very talented and very flawed. It is the contenders, the teams in position to win a championship, who should view Tobias as a sweetener because they have fewer opportunities to develop his talent.

WE should be the ones trading for guys like Thirsty every chance we get (young, flawed, cheap, talented).

To give him up for 3 months of jj redick is absolutely brain-dead stupid, and gives us yet more evidence (as if 20 + years wasn't enough) how **** up our organization is.

Woelfel suggested that the Hawks were holding out for Sanders. If that's the case, I feel significantly better about what we did (or didn't) do.

I just got breaking news from ppl in Orlando that Gustavo Ayon refuses to travel with the team to away games. He pushes his taco cart from city to city.

Yeah. Obviously we weren't giving up Sanders. But I don't see why Henson was "untouchable" if Josh Smith was willing to extend here. Ersan, JSmith, and Sanders would be the frontcourt and there would be no room for Henson. Also, it really didn't make sense to protect the 1st rounder going to ATL. If that made any sort of difference, the FO should be ashamed of themselves. If the Bucks get both JSMith and Redick, they're likely a 5 or 6 seed. No reason to protect that pick.

I'm cool with bringing in Reddick. What pisses me off is Monta still being on this team. At least we kept Ersan (a valuable trade piece), Henson, the pick, and didn't do anything crazy with Sanders. I was really excited about a BJ/Redick/Smith/Ersan/Larry starting lineup.

someone on the Orlando board just posted the following...."Traded Dwight and JJ for, Vucevic, harkłess, afflalo, Harris, lamb, and multiple picks."

I realize Howard was a big trading chip, but they've put together a good young core in just one year. Add a top 5 pick this summer and they are what we could only hope to be.

Be Milwaukee.

From what I hear most of you are high on Tobias which is good to see (from a Magic standpoint). What about Beno and Lamb. What are your opinions on those two players? I was under the impression that Beno seemed like a decent PG while Jennings, or am I mistaken?

Thanks for the input,

Your friendly neighborhood MagicFan

Everyone here wants to like Lamb but on the floor he looked lost and didn't play very well when he was getting minutes.

Beno is a very solid PG. Top 5 backup PG probably.

Yeah I agree, that's a solid core. Magic fans should be very happy with what happened today.

Great post. Really says all u need to know about how much the bucks suck. That's two players turned into an entire rebuilt core in the course of a season...
