It's probably not JUST Reggie, but Adidas as well. Afterall, they are paying Rose more than the Bulls.

Exactly, and it's a joke that people are blaming Rose for the lack of progress or saying that Rose "doesn't want to embrace being the man." He's embraced being one of the main faces of the **** NBA, let alone the city of Chicago AND the Bulls. He's taken on a **** ton of pressure and done the best possible job he could.

If Reggie hadn't said this, months from now we would be going into the offseason with the mindset that the Bulls are going to continue to cut costs and do another financial based offseason. Hopefully Reggie just shook **** up and there's going to be a lot more pressure on Paxson, Gar and Reinsdorf to act like a big market for once.

We have just entered Grown-Man land regarding Rose & the Bulls. Rose has done his part. It's now time for GarPax to do theirs & find a way to bring in a #2.

For those that are saying Rose "is showing his true colors", you damn right he is. He wants a title in Chicago & he is DEMANDING that the FO supply him with some real help so he can win one.

Whatever it takes, get Boozer's and/or Deng's bloated contracts off the books and get him some real help.

yeah, the problem with the cavs is that they just didn't make enough risky trades + signings.

Deng and Noah not gonna invite Derrick to the after game parties when he comes back...

And Noah won't give him any weed.

"oh, the cavs. why are you so meticulously built; why is your management so patient and unwilling to listen to the demands of your superstar? lo, if you were only willing to shake things up and stop relying on your excellent coaching and supporting cast of high-quality role players held over from year-to-year, maybe things could have worked out for you..."

Like who? They won't ever be favored over the Miami unless they acquire Durant. And he's not available.

Rose's image isn't very important to me at all. Rather the Bulls and the Bulls winning.

I don't care if some Knicks fans like Rose or think he is a good guy, they already rip hin the forums all the time.

Nor can the Bulls backlash in any way against Rose, because he is their only legitimate hope to win a title. They would only hurt the franchise by trying to counter punch Rose or his image. 1.7% isn't happening again anytime soon and trading Rose is not an option where you can envision any kind of successful outcome from.

Because Rose when healthy is a top 5 ish player in the game and the only way your odds to win really improve via trade is getting one of the guys ahead of him. Not happening.

Bulls will have to live with it and try to placate him.

Let's try to get Redick, another "good character" player from Duke, yes he will help "esprit de corps", Carmelo Anthony was a bad apple (no pun intended), as far as Harden we were just asleep, no one ever told us we can get him for a couple of mid lotto picks

I swear if I see someone say that clearing Deng and Boozer's contracts off the books helps us get a 2nd star one more time I'm gonna vomit. IT EFFING DOESN'T.

The ONLY thing that helps the Bulls get a PROVEN 2nd star are these things:

1) trading Noah
2) playing their cards right in 2014
3) Mirotic or the Bobcats pick becomes a 2nd star in about 3 years

That's IT. There is no 2nd star that can be acquired for bad draft picks, a one year rental of Luol Deng, Boozer, or Taj. So unless people want us to trade Noah, they need to wait for 2014.

BUT, we can improve this offseason by taking on salary in return for Kirk, RIP, and picks. We won't have the hard cap restriction. IF the Bulls don't do this, I will sing a very different tune about them.

This is Reggie Rose's (and Derrick's) disappointment that the Bulls could be stuck with Boozer for two more years and no real hope of improving the roster with that albatross of a contract. They are as sickened watching Boozer play as I am.

Remember all those mid lotto picks the Bulls had this season? Oh and an elite efficiency shooting guard to replace the elite efficiency shooting guard who the Thunder were trading, whose contract expires after this season to give them salary relief while also allowing them to continue to contend this year

like, ****, i hate the bulls management as much as any sane man does, but make criticisms that make sense. there's a reason that coldfish, he of the I Don't Know If Derrick Rose Will Be Alive Next Week-level of pessimism, is criticizing what reggie said.

Didn't I tell you a long time ago Bulls better figure something out? You told me "If it's that easy, then you tell me how to get another star."

.....Now even his brother is telling them to figure it out. ****'s getting real.

Jesus. I can't keep up with this thread. I gave up at page 9. But from what I've read, I think it's safe to say that 99% will agree that Rose needs help, and that we could use another star player to help get a ring. However, where people seem to disagree, are the people who are lauding Reggie's statements, and the others who think it's stupid to come out like this.

I for one feel that it's dumb as **** to come out at this point in time with these comments. The bulls can't do a damn thing to help the roster at this point. First of all, keep that **** in house......secondly, if you must say something to the media, wait until the season is over, when the bulls can actually make moves. You say this now, when the bulls can't do anything about it? You don't even know the outcome of this season. Granted, I don't feel the bulls would win it all this year, but that's why we play the games. Boston probably wouldn't have been one quarter away from the finals if Derrick didn't go down. If the bulls make it to the ECF and take MIami to 7 games and fall short on a buzzer beater or have a classic series that could go either way, then his comments look dumb and misinformed.

If I was one of the guys on the team, I'd be pissed, because I'm certainly pissed as a fan. Yes, it would be nice for Rose to have James Harden next to him, but unfortunatlely, real NBA trades aren't as easy as trading players in a fantasy league

And let's not confuse the Roses wanting more talent around Derrick as them being upset we "broke up the team" by letting Korver and Asik go (I won't dignify similar notions about Brewer and Watson). What Reggie is saying is not that this team isn't as good as the perfectly acceptable Bulls teams of the last two years, but instead he's saying simply that the Bulls need more really good players than just Rose, Noah and Deng, which is exactly what I've been saying.

Bulls need to find a way to UPGRADE RIP, Marco, Boozer, etc. Best time to do that is this summer with the contracts of RIP, Kirk, and picks, Teague, etc.
