Pistons fan here - love the move the Bucks made. Reddick is severely underrated and has improved his game each year he's been in the league.

Glad he's looking forward to it. I think he'll be a good player. Kinda feel bad for him, have a feeling he is going to be the whipping boy on the board b/c of the trade.

I'm more upset that Monta and Dalembert were retained, than trading for Redick. If they retain him and Harris doesn't amount to a player, which maybe they believe, I don't think this is an awful deal. I don't have high hopes for Lamb and Udrih, eh whatever.

Jennings, Redick, Ersan, Sanders, Henson, and somehow get a young wing isn't an awful core and besides Redick isn't terribly old.

Thanks, some of us like the move also and look forward to watching him play on Saturday.

JJ will be whipping boy once he gets Salmons/Gadzuric/Simmons paydays

Mostly the same people who were looking forward to Monta Ellis playing here.

That really worked out.

In isolation this was not a bad trade. A lot of national writers and bloggers think the Bucks won this. Example:

http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2013/2/21/4 ... s-analysis

But again this was a 30 game deal like we did with Payton, Bogut now this Redick deal. No focus on all the issues to come that could have been solved today.

He'll be one sooner than that if he doesn't fit in to the "system" right away. First impressions are pretty important on this board. Not sure if I even want him to play well since I don't want to resign him for 10m or even 8m a season.

In case anyone wondered, neither JJ Redick or his people gave Milwaukee assurances he would re-sign this summer before the deal went down

Is anyone seriously upset about losing any of those pieces? Ayon has a team option for next year of only 1.5MM and has periodically shown flashes. Lamb wasn't cutting it in the NBDL and was a 2nd rd pick. Toby had some upside but is a long ways from actually being a productive member of a winning team.

If the Bucks pay JJ that huge pile of money this could be a bad thing. Otherwise, they lost Toby for a rental of a great shooter and a backup big and PG that we are committed to <1M total (of course we will likely take the 2.4MM options for the pair to keep them). Its a really minor deal that hardly impacts anything.

The only issue we have is that Monta is still on the team. That will be solved when he walks at the end of the season. If we re-sign Redick in the offseason, which we will unless another teams makes a ridiculous offer then I really don't see any other big issues for this team.

Yes. I am legit upset about losing Tobias because I'm not happy with Moute at SF anymore, Daniels is nothing, Dunleavy could be gone next year and he is the guy who should be the guy next year or even this year he should be getting some time.

Doron Lamb showed a few glimpses but struggled mightily. Much like a guy named Jodie Meeks who was a productive starter for a playoff 76ers team and now was signed as a "key bench guy" for the Lakers in the offseason.

You don't just give up on a kid after 3 months. Doron Lamb is gonna stay in this league and Tobias is gonna stick around too. Bucks just have no idea how to develop young players. Larry Sanders got good because of his offseason workout training and programs. The light went on for him this year. That could be Tobias next year.

Aren't you the same guy who proclaimed Henson would be out of the league before his rookie deal was up and that Larry couldn't play Center. You should be the last one mocking someone.

Ayon has a team option for $1.5 next year, and ish Smith has a two year player option 985k each. Ayon is a good player, can play PF/C smart passer and PnR big jack of all trades type.

Still haven't had time to read the thread but wanted to say this.

I like Redick, a lot, always have, and this trade was completely and utterly insane. Johnboy I was one of your biggest defenders and I was completely wrong, you're a muppet.
