93-95. There are no easy pickings in this division. I really like our team, especially the SP rotation, and if everything clicks it will be hard to lose a series. The X-factor is Josh Johnson. If he fulfills his potential in a contract year, and everyone else shoots par, we'll be well ahead of the pack.

Beginning in the 2004 season when Boston won the WS, here has been the winning record of the AL East division winner:

2004 New York Yankees (101–61)
2005 New York Yankees (95–67)
2006 New York Yankees (97–65)
2007 Boston Red Sox (96–66 )
2008 Tampa Bay Rays (97–65)
2009 New York Yankees (103–59)
2010 Tampa Bay Rays (96–66)
2011 New York Yankees (97–65)
2012 New York Yankees (95–67)

95 wins has been enough twice. 97 wins was better. But in most of those seasons, the Orioles were a patsy. So 95 will likely be enough in 2013. That's an attainable target.

The eternal pessimist in me can't believe just yet. 88-90 wins.

Good catch but I'd say the division is stronger now, so teams within the division won't have the 0-18 win/loss records again the Yankees/Red Sox's. They can't beat up on the Orioles and Blue Jays like they used to.

I've got them at 92 and I still think that will be enough to win the division this season.

The site I bet on (Pinnacle) has us at 89. I'm thinking we get 92.
