Granted, they got embarrassed, but still a pretty nice showing by Tobes. 5-10 fg and 4-4 ft, 14 pts, 3 blks...

It was worth it to get that 9th spot though.

What do you think is wrong about that logic? If I gave you a one foot bar to jump over and you couldn't clear it, I would laugh at you. But I'm not throwing you a parade if you do clear it.

Majority of the rest of the season is garbage time for the Magic, just sayin

Redick only averaged 15 points a game on that garbage team

If you were on my "bar jumping" team for a year and a half and I never really gave you an opportunity to jump higher bars...who's fault is it?

Separate argument, but I'll have it if you're game. Tobias started 23 games for us. How many times did he clear that bar?

Well yeah, but if you only studied "bar hopping" for one year in college, and then the National Bar Hopping Association had a lockout and you were afflicted with a terrible thirst, causing you to not hop for weeks, and then you were pretty good against borderline terrible bar hoppers, and you got a chance to be a starting hopper, but you sucked at hopping, then hop hop hop hop.

Through 3 quarters when the game was competitive Tobes was the same guy we've seen minus the 2 or 3 good games he had at the beginning of the season when he started. He put his the majority of his points in garbage time when the team was down double-figures when the reserves were in. He has the chance to be a good player but this is not the game to be championing as some big mistake for trading him.

Well lets have it. Do you really want to consider starting alongside the swag twins and getting yanked as soon as our opponents SF scores an ideal "bar jumping" situation...and before you answer that, think about who the SF's are in the league and then think about how often they score for their teams.

For those beating the drum for Tobes on the basis of this game, I hope you're also beating the drum for the 4 fringe NBA players from Cleveland who scored more points, on better percentages, in similar time.

Unless you're willing to concede that Wayne Ellington, CJ Miles, Mareesse Speights, and Alonzo Gee are better players than Tobias, I'd probably give this one up. Blowout game, with two terrible teams. Anyone who cared at all was scoring 10 points.

I actually watched the game not the box score. In the meaningful minutes, no he didnt come out shooting 100% from the field, but he rebounded well, played decent defense and even had a few blocked shots. He looked good out there considering he just joined the team. A decent stat line from this game is not an indicator of weather or not we should have traded him, but I do not think the Bucks would have ever fully taken advantage of his strengths...starting or not.

How many genuinely good players need these kinds of excuses? And why doesn't this swag twins disorder afflict Dunleavy?

I feel like there are three camps with Tobias. There are the people who just don't really like him or believe in him. They think he's not good now, and that his prospects aren't that exciting. Then there's a group, the group I belong to, who think he's a decent prospect but that he's not there yet. Then there's this group who think he's a good player now and he's been the victim of circumstance.

The problem I have with this last group is that there is almost no evidence of it. Tobes has been an average or above starter in as many meaningful games as Jennings has scored 55 points.

Maybe you can explain to me why it's impressive to score 14 points in a 24 point loss to the Cavs. What does that prove to you?

Im not saying that the 14 points was overly impressive,

The point I am trying to make is that if you look at the makeup of our team, it isn't and never really was ideal for a 19 year old small forward to come in and get real comfortable. Between the swag twins erratic shot selection and skilles pulling him for any and every defensive mistake, how is a young player who's strengths are obviously weighted towards offense get into any sort of groove?

Big Tobias fan, but ya almost all of his production was in garbage time.

Doesn't mean anything, good or bad. We'll find out soon enough whether the trade was a good one or not: no need to rush.

Couldn't care less who it was against or why he scored. I'm just glad it gives him a confidence boost. The kid has skills. Hope he gets to show them off consistently every night.

Take your mind off the Bucks choking again and enjoy Kobias scoring against a bunch of scrubs in garbage time! Beno also had a good game, kind of, but I made this first because no one here (or anywhere, lol) has seen Harris play significantly for months.

Apparently Orlando doesn't understand that Tobias is suppose to stand in the corner and wait for someone to pass him the ball.

Since when could Harris jump that high and block shots like that ?

Still say guys like Tobias and Doron are a dime-a-dozen in the NBA. He doesn't do anything exceptionally (I know he's only 20) and doesn't play a lick of D.

I don't see the potential in him that others do. Never struck me as very athletic.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.
