Damn, seriously love this dude's game. Consider me on the Beal bandwagon. Only really watched on full Wiz game, but his activity and his willingness to share the ball and not dominate it is something I really like. Sorta KD-esque in that regard.

I could see him become a pretty good slasher too. Such a smooth game.

I really think this guy could become the 2nd best player from the draft after Davis, over Lillard/Drummond/Waiters mostly because he plays such a premium position.

Actually I do. It's mostly because he is a 19 year old rookie and future of the franchise, partly because of injuries, and partly because he splits time with Ryan Anderson, robin Lopez, and Jason smith. You do realize if he had played 40 minutes, he would have had over 20 shots? For most purposes, he has outplayed lillard all season, just without the minutes. Because of the difference in positions and minutes, it's been hard for everyone to see that. I take no issue with lillard getting the ROY, as has been pleaded for ad nauseum. But let's not pretend Davis doesn't deserve minutes or opportunities.

Beal really is awesome. Can shoot, can pass, rebounds great for his size, and has shown good body control when driving, finishes well.

Is really gonna develop into a great SG.

I love his perimeter game.

Lillard is the ROY, but Davis will have the better career, as will possibly Beal, Drummond, and MKG.

And what are you even talking **** about? Davis was the number 1 pick for a reason. He may turn out to be better than Lillard and it wouldnt be such a big surprise. Why do u have to talk **** about what LIllard is doing like it makes you so jealous deep down inside.

you got baited :-?

Lillard is shooting like42% and is a guard pretty sure he isn't shooting 22 shots a game and he also gets 6.5 assist a game and in case you didn't know this playing the 1 is much harder than playing the 4. Davis is going to be really good but no need to be a **** dude

Not to mention PG is by far the deepest position in the league right now.

I would love to see Davis taking 20 shots with the defensive pressure Lillard faces.. that would be quite entertaining honestly.

In other news Meyers Leonard looked at least respectable tonight defensively and Vicor Claver looked like he could turn out to be a decent role player in the future off the bench. Claver is surprisingly athletic, quick and can really move his feet on defense. Add in that hes 6'9ish and i can see why Portland liked him as a 1st rounder, and a lot of scouts said he had lottery talent.

Lillard is attempting 5.52 more FG a game and making 5.68 more pts a game, over Davis, for what it's worth.

edit: Silly me forgetting to add in the fact that Lillard has been the target of many teams defensive setups for entire games(and that's with 3 other scoring threats on the court with him for almost all the same minutes he's playing), and at one point had all 5 heads in Boston looking at him tonight on a play. Good stuff.

Everyone looking to support 'their rookie' in this thread..

Davis, Beal, MKG, Waiters, Lillard, and Drummond all have a chance to be very special. Even Barnes and Ross have had their moments although I wouldn't put them in the same class as the other 6.

Sacramento really sh*t the bed with that Robinson pick with Lillard and Drummond both still on the board.

Dion's really turned the corner since the new calendar year. Hes finally finishing more at the rim, reeling in his ridiculous shot attempts, attacking the basket more often and is in general a lot more confident with his outside shot. His ability to to break down defenders and split double teams is absolutely killer. This Kyrie - Dion backcourt is gonna be fun to watch over the next couple years.

I dunno, he still takes too many contested jumpers IMO. He has to improve his shot selection.

So much pointless bickering taking over this thread.

I'm loving Bradley Beal, and this is coming from a big doubter after his sloppy start to the season. That back-court with Wall is something special.

As for Jeremy Lamb, I've been saying for a while now that I think the kid will be an absolute star, potentially Superstar, which could sound ridiculous to some. I can really see him taking the league by storm.

Haha. Hey, the Blazers have a lot of fans on here, I'll definitely give you guys that. And I stated way back in the thread, the majority of which have been really cool and actually tried to slow down the more agressive half of Blazer fans.

It's just so intriguing to me how violently the Blazer fans act regarding Lillard. It's so different from every other player and fans in the thread. All you have to say is "I wish my guy played the minutes Lillard receives" and it's...."why you have to talk ****, take his **** out of your mouth, you're a homer, etc etc.

Many are still physically incapable of coming into this thread and discussing any other rookies. It's wild.

For the....no way Davis has played as good as Lillard, it's not even close, crowd

Per 36:

Lillard-
17.11 ppg
6.08 assists
2.99 rebounds
.94 steals
2.81 TO
14.68 shots per 36
41.6% FG
34.4% 3P%
86.1% FT%

Davis-
16.32 ppg
9.71 rebounds
2.33 blocks
1.55 steals
1.17 assists
1.81 TO
13.21 shots per 36
50.8% FG
73.4% FT

Yes, Davis has played as good as Lillard.

That drive and kick at 7 seconds was picture perfect. Nice drive at 40 seconds. Definitely has an edge on Beal when it comes to attacking the paint. He took a few bad shots that went in but that was an impressive highlight reel.

Waiters is better at driving and creating for his teammates. For a rookie he seems fearless. Beal looks smoother on the perimeter. Both are going to be very, very good. We need to appreciate both. It's great to see some good promising young SG's coming into the league the past few years (Harden, Klay Thompson, Beal and Waiters).

Please. You know exactly what you are doing. Every other time you praise Davis you try to simultaneously downplay Lillard in comparison. No one has any problem with you coming in and dropping some nice Davis highlights, but you don't need to try to tear down Lillard's accomplishments when you do it.
