Stuckey and Knight can easily be packaged for a quality player at next year's deadline, throw in CV's expiring deal and you have a very solid trade package.

We can give him till next trade deadline but if we get lucky with a high pick and a quality PG is available we shouldnt hesitate at all even with Knight on the roster

I think everyone who makes the Billups reference has to let go of it. We are always going to love Billups for what he did, but for every Billups that excels after 6 years of mediocrity, there are literally hundreds of players that fail to improve. Knight shouldn't be seen as any different if he doesn't show improvement.

Knight has already shown glimpses that he can be a very good PG, his glaring problem is his inconsistency and now being in a new role which he is struggling to adapt to.

I think with his work ethic and desire to get better he has more of a shot than most to reaching his potential like Billups did.

5 more years? Who's saying that? The consensus here is one more year, and after that we give up on him.

Consistency is the defining aspect of a good basketball player. It's what separates players like JR Smith from players like Brandon Roy (pre-injury). Every player shows glimpses, and Knight's consistency has not improved whatsoever since his rookie year. If his consistency rises soon, then I will be willing to eat my words.

I was responding to the comparison of him to Billups. I agree that he should get one more year, but in no way should Billups ever be used in the same sentence with Knight's progression, as they are two completely different scenarios.

2tough, you wasted a lot time and posts believing in and campaigning for Rodney so I know his failure has to be really hard on you, but the "Rodney Stuckey ship" has officially sailed (if hasn't already, like 2 years ago), time to let it go dude.

Oh yeah, and also this

For every Chauncey, there's 20 Stuckeys. Odds are Knight ends up closer to Stuckey than Chauncey.

We got lucky with Monroe and Drummond going lower than they should've. It could just be Knight deserved to go where he went, and we got what we paid for. Thats not a bad thing. You aren't going to hit the jackpot with every pick, and 8th picks generally don't go on to be all-stars. So I say just appreciate Knight for what he is - the 8th pick in a weak draft - and don't expect more, and he might live up to expectations.

They both suck currently, but only one has a chance to not suck in the future.....
