Is Bogans gone next year? Does Toko even exist?

How about running a lineup like this next year?

Williams / Watson / Taylor
Johson / _______
Wallace / Bogdanovic
Blatche / Teletovic / Evans
Lopez / _______ / (Evans)

Filling in the blanks, does this work better than what we are doing this season?

I firmly believe Blatche is gone. Not only is he not getting playing time, but another team will pay him more and start him. He knows this. He's had a miserable time and has been benched in favor of Reggie Evans.

I say we trade Taylor and Hump, for the expiring contract of AK47. Sign Brooklyn's own Sebastian Telfair. Probably sign minor players like DeJuan Blair and Kwame Brown

Williams / Watson / Telfair
Johnson / Brooks
AK47 / Wallace
Teletovic / Dejuan Blair / Reggie Evans
Lopez / Kwame Brown

TO be honest if Blatche leaves it severely limits our ceiling. I firmly believe AK47 took that player option as leverage to force a move to Brooklyn. So it's either "let me walk for nothing or move me to Brooklyn."

I hope we can hang onto Blatche for longer than just this year. I also really want to see how he can do playing as a PF in the starting lineup.

Let Reggie play backup center, or just get some other vet min big, or even bring over that Turkish Eurostash if possible. Then Mirza can play PF with the second unit with more regular minutes.

Why not sit lopez early in 1st. Bring Blatche in

Then Lopez plays most of 2nd Q with jj, Mirza, Watson, bogans

same for 2nd half

Of the 24 games we have left...15 of them are against teams there's no excuse to lose to. We need to go 16-8 the rest of the way to get to 50 wins. I don't think something like 53-55 wins is out of the picture to be honest...if we win the games we're supposed to win, and we go 5-4 in the other 9 games, we're sitting at 54 wins. Now, it is unreasonable to expect them to go a perfect 15-0 in their "easy" games, but then again, I also don't think it's unreasonable to believe that they'll win more than 5 out of 9 in their "tough" games.

Of the best five-man units in the NBA, the Nets have 2 of the top 10 (minimum 100 minutes) in net rating.

The first one is Deron/Bogans/Joe/Hump/Lopez (+17.6), which is good for 7th in the NBA. The other unit is 9th best and it consists of DWill/Bogans/Joe/Wallace/Lopez (+16.9).

The unit with Hump is the 8th best offensively and doesn't really have a flaw. Getting 54% of the rebounds, rarely turning it over (12.7%)

Yeah but a lot of these games are road games and there are a number of back to backs, plus this team has been so shaky.

I still think 50 wins is likely, but expecting more then that this year with this coach is probably a reach.

Meh, I really don't think back to backs and road games should matter all that much...if you're a better team, you should still win. We're a good road team anyway. I don't think we'll go 15-0, tbh, but something like 12-3 should be expected. And we're not exactly going up against super elite teams in those other 9 games, they're teams that we've beaten before.

IDK, I think it's likely that we end up with more than 50...exactly 50 would be kind of a disappointment imo. It means we would have dropped quite a few games that we probably shouldn't have lost.

I doubt it man. It's pretty much statistically proven IIRC that even the elite top teams historically struggle in back to backs. I'm not saying we're a bad team. 50 wins is a good team no matter who you beat. Yeah I'd be a touch disappointed myself, but at the same time, I think at this actual point in the season you have to look at the games left, the schedule and be realistic.

I must say that it's fun to criticize a winning team for a change.

This current Nets team might be "winning" but I honestly have to say I don't enjoy watching them play...Hopefully that will change one day.

what a joke this is...50 a disappointment? if we get to 47+ it should be rejoicing. 50 should would be an enormous feat. 43-45 is likely.

yeah, we might have more wins then losses, but this isnt a "winning" team. this team still has the stench of the 60 loss team all over it. from attotude, to pride, to body language, to effort. none of that screams winning to me. especially the complete lack of leadership.

we are going to be a few games over .500 and get bounced in 4-5 games in round 1, and deservedly so. sad part is, the team will celebrate a good first year in brooklyn

Man oh man, that REALGM article about us hurts. I would so rather have Derrick Favors and Damon Lilliard than the overpaid stiffs we got locked up for the next 5 years. Ugh...

So we recalled Toko... but what exactly are they planning to do with him? It's obvious he belongs in the NBA an SHOULD be getting playing time, but won't because we have an overpaid stiff (wallace) taking up most of the minutes at SF and the backup (Bogans) has played his role well and is getting about the minutes he deserves.

I have no idea what they're planning to do with him. And I swear, if Billy King waives him this summer I'm boycotting the next season or at least until Billy King is gone.
