Let this sink in for a minute. Raptors Fans see something almost right away what isint working, but it takes Casey (an NBA Coach) 3 months later to realize the same thing the fans are seeing. Either he is massively stubborn or massively stupid, perhaps both. Fire this guy already.

I don't mind if he stays as an assistant coach or something but he's just not fit to be a headcoach.

I've never seen a coach have such a huge impact on a game. We need this idiot out of here if we really want improvement. You can have the best car in the world with the top notch handling and most advance technology but if the driver is garbage then that car will never reach even 50% of its full potential.

What does Casey see in Alan Anderson that I don't?

I don't blame Casey for the massive drop off in play when Lucas comes into the game, that's a roster issue.

But you have Ross sitting there who isn't exactly lighting the world on fire shooting 40%, but at least can score a few different ways, yet you are playing Anderson 25MPG when he has the third worst FG% on the team @ 36.3?

What's worse is you are running plays through Anderson, and doing so fairly frequently!

The management of our wing rotation has been pretty terrible; you are basically playing Gay and DeRozan 40+ minutes, I don't see the need try and find new and exciting ways to get Anderson into the game (Gay playing the four for example) when you can just allow the 96 minutes available at the 2/3 to be split amongst Gay, DeRozan, and Ross.

Should Ross be struggling, then toss in Anderson otherwise let the guy you took 8th overall get some burn.

What is wrong with this wing lineup?

DD / Ross
Gay / Fields

Casey is inept.

The Raptors play much better defense, like him or not, you can't dispute that.

You may want to check that.

Being not "historically bad" does not qualify as playing much better defense.

Raptors play better defense with Casey than previous coaches, read this:

http://blogs.thescore.com/raptorblog/2012/03/05/is-caseys-defence-too-good/

http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-04-02/news/sns-rt-bkn-raptors-team-reportsx3b788a1-20120401_1_home-game-playoff-game-zone

Like I said his offensive sets are horrible and his rotations are questionable, but you can't dispute that our defense is better than before he took over (and yes we all know how bad Triano's defense was)

Did you know we once had a coach that led us to back to back seasons finishing above average (top 15) on offense AND defense? He was the only coach in our history to do so. His name is Sam Mitchell. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is all the evidence you need to explain why the Raptors are a pathetic franchise.

Casey likes it SMALL, enough said.

I am hoping we don't make the playoffs so BC and Casey will get fired. After all BC hired this clown, is it really too much too ask to get REAL HEAD COACH??

- Has no offensive schemes
- No awareness
- Horrible rotations
- Gives major minutes to scrubs
- Terrible player development on a team where success rests heavily on the future of two skilled rookies

Why is he here again?

The fire Colangelo thread explains that one.

lol.......

It seems like everytime we lose the main reason for it is Casey's coaching job. And I have to say, that's been the major issue this season. We should not have started 4-19... that was a result of Casey's wonderful coaching.

We're not getting anywhere without an experienced NBA HEAD COACH.

We have to be honest, it was a miracle that he and BC both kept their jobs after the 4-19 start. Someone should of been fired. People have been fired for much less than that. I think BC has too much control as president or basketball ops AND GM, he doesnt really report to anyone, other than the board which really wont care unless we stop turning a profit. We need 2 different people in those positions so that there is someone to hold them accountable. BC should of been fired long ago, probably after Bosh walked, and definitely needs to go this offseason. The argument was always whats the point of replacing them when we are tanking (mainly with triano and BC). Well we are now meant to be winning, or trying to, and BC has done a bad job of building this roster, Casey has not delivered what he was meant to as a head coach, and for some reason, 2 seasons in with one of the worst starts in franchise history, both are still here. Mind boggling.

Edit*
I would actually have preferred to keep JT for the last season or so to help develop our young guys, he was great at that. Casey has not really improved us at all, all he did was trade good offense with horrible D to NO offense with bad D (last year he had good D but thats long gone). Under Casey, we have won on the backs of guys who have no place being in the game, scrubs, expiring vets etc, instead of developing those who need the touches and minutes when it counts (Ed until Bargs went down, Bayless, DD to a lesser extent, Ross, Val, I know Im forgetting some).

His rotations are the worst, how could you play Bargs as your only big? Along with that John Lucas and AA should never ever touch the floor together. AA doesn't deserve these minutes over Ross.

Just do this Casey, try it for a hot minute and I won't yell at you every second I get:

Lowry / Telfair
DD / Ross
Gay / Fields
Amir / Acy
JV / Gray

That's it! It's so **** simple. Give AA, Turd and Bargnani the tough treatment they deserve. I guarantee it will be an immense improvement over this small ball fiasco of 5 behind the 3-point line.

I'm not quite on the Fire Casey bandwagon but I will say that his offense is horrific. Honestly, outside of isolations, how many plays do you think we run?

#1 Run Derozan off a screen for a long jumper
#2 Pick and roll (awfully executed I may add)

What else do we run? We need to bring in an offensive minded assistant. Release AA. Tell him to play Ross and Val more minutes.

We need a passionate X's and O's coach. We've constantly had talented teams but coaches have misused them because of their coaching defencies. Casey would be an excellent assistant, but he's really sabotaging our teams development.
