Previous 5 games he is averaging 17ppg on 56%.....with big shots down the stretch against Mia and SA

He is doing it again against a tough Chi home team tonight

Dion leads the Irving-less Cavs to a victory in Chicago. 25 points on 63% shooting.

Eastern conference is in good hands at SG with Waiters and Beal.

Could be two of the best backcourts in the NBA in a few years.

Waiters has been playing great, taking way less bad long jumpers and has been very efficient going to the rim, he's the next Wade!!!

Why do you have to go there? Let the kid be his own player. Comparing him to Wade is pointless.

Very impressed with Waiters tonight. He's obviously not as physically gifted as Wade, but he attacks the rim in a similar fashion, and he was relentless tonight off the pick and roll.

He doesn't have anywhere near the complete game that Wade had coming into the league in terms of rebounding, defending etc., and he's not as athletically gifted as Wade, but he does have Wade's slashing style. He's going to be a very good player for the Cavs as long as they keep him attacking the basket and not settling for long jumpers.

So far, I think Lillard deserves it over Davis and Drum. But if Drummond comes back as a starter and continues to produce, I don't see why he shouldn't be considered for it.

Also heres Beal's highlights from last night. Love how he can give you 20 without dominating the ball. You can definitely see the Wall/Beal chemistry in this reel.

as of now i agree, Drummond would literally ahve to carry the pistons into the playoffs for Lillard not to get it(unless Lillard falls apart for some odd reason)

i love watching beal play, i get so jealous watching that shot. so smooth. i think he's going to dominate the league in 1 or 2 years.

I was not serious that he's the next Wade, but he has been playing really good and does have similarities to Wade. I am a cavs fan so I'm hoping for the best with Waiters.

I don't even see why people are talking about Drummond like he'd have any chance whatsoever to be ROY. He's not even close.

Last 20 games:

Beal:
15.7 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 2.5 apg on 56 % TS
Waiters:
14.6 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 3.1 apg on 53 % TS

Honestly I expected Lamb and Ross as the best prospects at SG!

But those 2 are proving me wrong now and I like it!

Beal has really surprised me. He underwhelmed me at Florida, but now he looks like a future star.

Well unlike the other 2 Lamb is incredibly weak for a 2 imo. He cant get to the where he wants to and he is gonna have trouble finishing through contact. He is gonna have to get stronger or learn some of Kevin Martins foul drawing techniques. That being said he is still incredibly skilled and I think OKC has a good prospect on their hands with him, he is just gonna take longer than the other two to develop because hes gonna be pushed around. He still has a beautiful jumper and is extremely effortless and graceful

Also with Waiters i dont know why people were surprised that he got taken at 4 (besides the fact he didnt workout much), the guy has the complete package on offense just has to figure out his shot selection consistently. He also has that mindset that he is gonna score no matter what it takes and he showcased that at 'Cuse. I havent seen him defensively can anybody touch on that part of his game.

Char fans claim he hit the wall, i say teams just learned how to defend him. Kid has no jump shot. i think he's still going to be a good player, but more a glue guy than a franchise player. His Shooting form is a little bit of concern but i've seen teams do better with worst

i think when he puts on muscle he's going to have a Westbrook type build. also ppl forget how athletic he is. que that one poster dunk at uconn.

As for waiters, i think ppl are surprised he was selected 4 mainly because Barnes and Drummond where still on the board. I think with irving running a point, a more important need would be a nba ready scoring SF or a potential Franchise center. while i understand the risks related to Dre during the draft, Barnes seems like he would have been a no brainier. i am however presently surprised at how he turned out. he far exceeded my expectations and his ceiling of "rodney stuckey" seems to be his floor
