Help me figure this out please-Why no JV in the 4th?

Post#1 » by heffmanhere » Thu Feb 28, 2013 2:33 am

Has Casey ever been asked why JV doesn't play in the 4th and if so what is his rationale?

And if he hasn't been asked, why hasn't he been asked.

Thanks.

Because Bargs is more proven as an excellent defender and rebounder, havent you noticed?

Why does Casey refuse to give Jonas starters minutes?

Post#3 » by MEDIC » Thu Feb 28, 2013 2:33 am

Watching Amir & Jonas man the paint defensively has been a thing of beauty. This team starts off really strong & looks solid on both ends of the floor. Then Casey takes Jonas out, plays him less than 25 min & doesn't have him out there in crunch time?

I don't understand it. Makes absolutely no sense.

8 reb, 3 blocks, 1 steal, shooting 50%, highest ± on the team.

We have everything to gain & nothing to lose by giving this kid 30+ min & minutes in crunch time.

Because BC instructed to play Bargs. BC wants to get something decent for Bargs in a trade. If he amnesties his own 1st overall pick, he will lose all credibility as a GM in this league. He is thinking long term for himself. There is your explanation.

Hopefully along with not making the playoffs and with our upcoming west coast road trip we have a really bad record that will pretty much justify not extending BC. A new GM comes and the first thing he does is amnesty Bargs and fires Casey.

I don't understand why JV got no playing time in the 4th but he went with Andrea Poognani who can't play defense and didn't hit a shot

If BC and Casey is bagging it this season, than why not play the rooks more minutes? Why is Anderson and Lucas logging major minutes??

You guys are missing why Casey did it. Derozan had it going tonight, rudy somewhat. Having Val inside clogs up the paint. Having Andrea out on the perimeter gives more space for Derozan to drive to the basket which he did awesome tonight

Because Casey is a fu*king moron.

Valanciunas was +14!! +14 in such a **** game. Every time he went out, we sucked. When he was in, we got things rolling.

He also had 5 points on 50% shooting, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 24 minutes. This is unexplainable. He better get asked why he decided not to bring him back in.

He can't even use fouls as an excuse. He only had 3. Let him play through it... please, you as*hole. And why didn't Ross get ANY time. Our bench sucks - try something new Casey, fu*k!

If all we're going to do is jack up 3's then why not have him in there? At least he gives us a chance to get the offensive board. We were also getting murdered in the paint again and Bargs was running around on D like a chicken with its head cut off.

Is rebounding important going into the 4th quarter?

That doesn't make any sense. Demar and Rudy were playing well even when Val was in.
