Lamb has to piss GM's off, such a skill set and length, and 0 production
If Jeremy Lamb had been drafted by a team as bad as the Cavs or Wiz, I'd guarntee he'd be putting up better numbers than both Waiters and Beal, and would contend with Damian for ROY.
Lamb problem is that, he's been traded to a team that doesn't even need him. They already got a player similar to him in Kevin Martin and Thabo is beloved by the HC, so you won't see him getting any PT soon, unless someone gets traded or released.
How could you possibly guarantee such a thing. Prove it
Well I can't prove it, but his game to me looks more NBA ready/Skill wise than both Beal and Waiters. I seen him dominate in the Summer League and also seen what he did in the D-League.

That doesn't seem likely. A rookie big who has come off the bench all year gets sidelined with an injury, and now he's going to come back from injury and play starter minutes? I don't see that happening.
Literally right before he got injured all the pistons media had reports he was going to start(maybe even frank as well) Additionally with his injury piston coaches got a chance to look at Slav(who would back up Dre) and he looks very capable of coming off the bench.
The only reason why i say Dre would have to be considered(if carried the pistons into the playoffs) is because:
1.) IT looks like the Pistons would literally have to win almost 80% or more of their games to get the 8th seed. We have a Brutal schedule in march.
2.) of All rookies when dre impacts the game, its clearly obvious because he is a center and plays above the rim which would bring that "AW" factor. i also think he's the only rookie in a position to "carry" a team into playoffs. (correct me if i'm wrong)
3.) Production wise it may not be as impressive as other rookies , but in a day and age where Advanced stats are valued(see mike Trout mvp case) , there will at least be a argument.

Sorry bud your reaching a bit, Jeremy Lamb isn't getting any minutes because he's playing for a contender, however Lamb still needs to put on some size to guard the 2's of this league and not be outmuscled on the offensive end. i do think Lamb has the potential to be the best SG out of this draft, but he has a lot more to prove and is also in a better situation than the other two

Dominating the d league and playing at a borderline all star level like Beal and Waiters have recently are two wildly different things.

Too early to tell, but IMO he's like Stuckey with a better jumper. I wouldn't be surprised to see him or Beal become future all-stars, especially considering SG's one of the weakest young player positions.

More NBA ready than Waiters or Beal? Beal and Waiters have been playing at a high level against playoff teams and your argument is that Lamb is dominating in the summer league?

Were you born 2 months ago? Davis didn't even play in the beginning of the season.

No Piston fan is saying Drummond will win ROY. Nice of you to start being more vocal when Waiters heats up

Davis has played almost 50% more minutes this season than Drummond. I know he was hurt but hes still played a lot more.

He's played 270 more mins...and Drummond has been out for 3 weeks now. Regardless, he's making the first team. Barnes has not been productive. He's putting up Kyle Singler stats.

So we should punish Lamb because he is on the Thunder, while Beal and Waiters play on lottery teams?
If Beal or Waiters were on the Thunder they would be warming the bench as well

Lamb isn't contributing so he shouldn't get any credit for playing on a playoff team either. BTW aren't all the top rookies playing on lottery teams?

Re: The OFFICIAL rookie impressions thread pt.III
Lillard had a nice 26 point game today, on 8/14 from the field. Had 5 turnovers (which have been disappointing because he started the season off really well in that department), but that's expected from rookie PG's.
To the person who called Lillard an undersized SG a few pages back, I hope you watched today's game. He played SG with Maynor at PG for a while, and he is NOWHERE near as effective as he is when he is running the game with the ball in his hands. It's so incredibly easy to see he's a true PG.
Even more exciting for Portland than Lillard playing well was Leonard having his best game yet. 13 points and 5 boards off the bench, including 5/5 from the FT line. That puts him at 87% (47/54) from the Free Throw line

If Leonard even becomes a half way decent player, he and Drummond will start the cycle of taking unproductive good measuring bigs too high in the draft again.
