The Packers have until the 12th of March to decide what to do with him. I for one hope they restructure him at the min and give him the chance to make the team in camp. He hasn't played in 3 years but if he could work his way to his old form (big if) it would provide a huge boost to the run D.

Doesn't hurt to give him a chance, IMO. He was a big difference maker.

Absolutely would give him a shot.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

This. Even if one of the three worked out it would be huge.

and Ricky Jean-Francois
With Ted's interest in FA DL -- it might suggest his draft board isn't filled w/ DLs?

Doubt it, this screams "due diligence" to me, and not that Ted is pushing his shopping cart down the DL aisle looking for something because he can't draft it.
Could also very well be that Ted wants other GMs to come to the conclusion that you've come to.
Could also be that there are very few guy with ideal 5-tech measurables in this class. A guy like Canty with the height we like, or a guy like Jolly/Francois/Jenkins who have done it in this system before may be tempting.
IDK

It would be a great story if he can come back and be a contributor for this team, I'm rooting for him.

I could see Ted sign a free agent on the DL, but only if he gets the guy on the cheap.

I definitely give him another shot. It couldnt hurt. He always seemed like a good guy, just got mixed up with the wrong people.

I think they will. Couldn't they have renounced his rights at any time? Wouldn't make sense to wait that long to do it, unless they find out he's woefully out of shape.

Keep his rights, bring him in. If he's in shape and seems to have his head on straight, off the minimum, doesn't hurt much, especially if Worthy's starting the year on PUP
