Re: Rockets Acquire Thomas Robinson
I think this guy will succeed as a Rocket. He seems very excited that he now belongs to a young team. He probably fits right in. For some reason, I really like the guy and wishing him the best.
Anyway, here is quote from Mchale from an article. They might use him right away, I hope.
"McHale said Robinson might be able to make the adjustment more quickly because of his strengths and style. The Rockets don’t run many plays, anyway, but they would not be running them for him. He instead will be asked to concentrate on the parts of the game he is more likely to do well quickly."

Seems like he's going to start playing through the rotation immediately, the kid has some great rebounding skills, which we need DESPERATELY next to Asik on the front-court. As of right now when Asik goes out, we're toast on the boards. And I'm agreeing with everything that was stated, the Kings didn't use him correctly, it looked like they had no plans to develop him either.

I don't expect a lot from him this season. If he can help out Asik with boards, frees up his teammates by setting picks, and be able to defend a little bit, I will be pretty pleased.
Still wondering who's going to start at the PF.

I expect you guys to eventually go small in the playoffs. Your matchup will likely be OKC and you can get away with Parsons on Ibaka on D.
Robinson should be a backup Amare for you. Come in and play with Lin alongside athletic backups running OKC's second unit into the ground.

Yeah Morey's a fan of small ball. We'll see if Robinson spends the year developing in the D league or starts to crack the rotation early.
He's supposedly a very hard worker, so McHale will likely be a fan if he puts together strong practices.
if he can hit a few jumpers consistently for spacing or develop one, I'll love this trade. His rebounding and the way he hustles and runs the floor is a perfect fit for our squad.
I don't know how well he defends, I think I heard he had potential though.

Re: Rockets Acquire Thomas Robinson
Jordan Hill has panned out just fine for the Lakers and really was quite decent for us as well.
He got us a future 1st round pick (don't know what year), which really was probably a bit undervalued, but we were cutting some salary for a certain acquisition, as I recall...
Don't freak about Robinson. It's one game. He'll take time.

Did we? I couldn't find any trace of it on Morey's trade logs.

Re: Rockets Acquire Thomas Robinson
In his first game as a Rocket he looked really nervous and raw. Before I thought he could start alongside Asik but now I see it's just not possible. An offensive minded PF in Dmo would complement Asik better for now.
By the way lack of rebounding of the small Rockets team late in the game against Bucks cost the game. Coach will need to find a rebounding PF to play late or commit suicide once again playing Delfino at PF.

I wonder if the reason TRob got burn yesterday was because TJones couldn't play (I think I saw a wrap around his hand/thumb when he was sitting on the bench)?

I don't have any expectations for him this season. Maybe next year.
