I don't think Aaron Grey should start over Solo never mind Jonas .

I don't understand why BC feels that SF is such a big question mark. That's the one position where you actually have a very good young player in James Johnson. For whatever reason, Johnson is the one guy who the coach and GM don't seem to talk about too much. If this guy was playing on an elite team like the Boston Celtics, he would easily become a shut down defender who's talked about around the league. The guy showed last year that he could do a bit of everything in that Iguodala/Josh Smith mold. For whatever reason, he doesn't seem to fit into Colangelo and Casey's plans. They had a tweener with no future in the NBA in Anderson starting over a young guy they should have been developing.

Personally, I feel this was another wasted season considering that Ed Davis and Bayless didn't get the time they deserved, and BC was once again caught up in wanting to make the playoffs next year, so he decided to hold on to Bargnani and Calderon. We need a GM who has a clear plan in place. Colangelo clearly doesn't, and some of us have been saying that since he was first signed here. You do not "rebuild" for one year (he didn't even call it a rebuild), accumulate no young talent, and still decide that you're going to shoot for the playoffs the very next year. This is just like BC's first year, but without the first overall pick.

Sadly, there are people on this forum getting excited about next year, when Colangelo is simply doing his sell job like he's been doing for the last several years. The saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Well he's fooled a lot of you for a lot more than two times.

The only hope right now is for management to step in soon and let his contract just expire.

I'm not saying I would do it, but I sense something like Gallinari for A.Johnson and the 7th/8th pick. Perhaps with Johnson going to a 3rd team and the Nuggets getting a perimeter player back.

I don't know, we'll see.

So were keeping calderon, going after Nash and trying to either get a sf via draft or make the best possible offer for proficient 3pt shooters like P george or martin? lol yeah im getting ahead of myself here.

Don't let the prior "x" number of years fool you. This off-season will be different.
There is a top 10 pick on the table and a bit of cap room.

BC has his coach in place and his prized possession had a 13 game streak that should be glorified to no end.

JJ " has holes in his game" kind of sarcastic given the holes other core players have in their game (yet deemed by BC and Co. as irrelevant).

I like JJ as a role player, but offensively, he probably doesn't compliment DD that well and DD probably takes priority in BC/Casey's mind.

An interesting trend I am noticing is that Casey is getting a lot of props for his coaching decisions, while all the criticism gets heaped on Colangelo...even when Colangelo's opinion is shared by Casey.

This is one example. Jose Calderon is the other.

Orlando have lost a lot more than we have. Near prime Shaq + prime Tmac + prime Dwight next season, yet people don't talk about players not wanting to be there. All three were/are top 3-5 players in the league.

Picking up Casey's option is looking like a bad decision right now. Wish we could just walk away from him this offseason.

I knew it was a premature move BC didn't have to do at the time but never thought another year could be painful and lengthy like this.

They could just fire him. It's not like this ownership group is afraid of cutting coaches loose early because they still have money on their contract.
