Who was going to trade for Perkins???

Nobody will, that's why they should've amnestied them. It must be brutal to be an OKC fan watching Harden blow up, and missing out on having a dynasty with the most productive perimeter trio of all time.

They might of even found a trade partner for him at the beginning of the season people didn't know he was this terrible, but Yeah as Dux said they should of amnestied his ass and attempted to sign Harden.

He's overpaid, overrated, and injury-proned. He's too slow now, Thunders needs to upgrade the C position.

OKC fascination with Perkins is either a product of him being a nice guy and they just believing in him. I don't understand it. They have a team full of great athletes and they stick Perkins in the middle. It is the most weird thing in sports. He is the only thing keeping them from being great. If Denver doesn't want to play Mcgee trade him, Lamb, and that toronto pick for him Javale.

Not too bad in this weak era of big man. But he's overpaid, that's why Danny decided to give him up. But still arguable if compared to other bigs salary.

I think Perk just needs the right system, and he plays better along side a superior big man. Take for instance his run w/ the Celtics. He was not asked to do much since KG anchored the defense.

Jason Collins at the minimum could have done the same things Perk did tbh.

This team is good enough to win a championship without Harden... but i'm still imagining:

Westbrook
Harden
Durant
Ibaka
Collison

Should have amnestied Perkins, damnit.

He owes most of his money to Garnett for making look like something he clearly never was.

There's nothing Perkins can do that Collins can't do. In fact, there's nothing Collins cannot do.
He's just down playing at the moment because of his realization that there aren't too many good big men. It would be unfair if he plays up to his 25% of his real talent.

OT: Why do you have both a Lakers and a Heat logo in your signature? Yet you live in Toronto?

OT: ^THANK YOU, he's been trolling the Heat board for days now. I asked him the exact same question in our GT... He also said something about being our future 5'11 center...

As far as Perkins goes If I were OKC I would literally think about starting Collins over him and giving Thabeet more mins. Perkins is just so useless out on the floor that it's just funny...

I live in Toronto (huge fan of the V. Carter era). I love Kobe and the Lakers (West). But I took my passion to south beach and joined the Miami Heat. So yeah lol.

Imagine if the Thunder had Tiago Splitter in the middle. Better finisher, just as good of a passer, greatly improved foul shooter. The post D would weaken a bit but the pick and roll D would be pretty good.

Been saying that Perkins is the worst starter for years now. I simply don't understand how this guy a starting C for a championship team. Perkins is also the slowest NBA player I have ever seen in my life.

No one, but they probably shouldn't have given him that ridiculous contract extension in the first place

Perk sucks. But OKC will need him when teams like Memphis (Gasol, Zbo) and Warriors (David Lee, Bogut) etc. face them in the playoffs

Perkins suffers from the Bruce Bowen effect. Strong defensively but so bad on offense he more than nullifies his defensive prowess. Only players with near legendary defensive prowess can pull this off - Ben Wallace, Dikembe Mutombo, etc. Perkins isn't a strong enough defender to justify his paltry offensive contributions.
