Before I was a completely biased, unreasonable Kanter fanatic, I wanted the Jazz to draft Biyombo in the draft.

Then Ryanstorm's future self came back a month before the draft and showed me video of this game, and nothing's ever been the same.

Haven't seen him play much but he is rocking a 5 PER and Suns fans seem to think there's not much there. What do you see and like about him?

Because he has rare control of the offense that allows it to flow seemlessly and is something most teams wants especially in a league full of combo guards. Even the haters admit the offense flows better when he's in. His "true pg" skills he shown in college have translated to the nba. Does he still need to adjust to the nba? Yes, for one many of his turnovers come from making passes that are not as easy to do on the nba level but he will fix that. Does he still need to work on his shot? Yes, but his long range shooting is coming along. Is he still suspect defensively? Yes but its not as bad as some people thought it would be.

5 Per is bad but Dragics per in his first season was around that during his first 20 something games and he only managed to pull it up to about 9 towards the end of that season so theres precedent set for Marshall to succeed. The suns fans didn't believe in dragic either and I think Marhsall will be much better. I fully understand people thinking Marshall will be a bust and I was full prepared to be flamed for liking him during the first 2 years of his career but I think he will adjust like dragic is doing.

dragic could outrun marsahll even if both of his legs were eaten by zombies.

dragic is not a good comparison - they are two very different players with very different styles of play. i see marshall as a bigger earl watson, only without defensive ability but with an actual capacity to manage a game and running an offense. like watson, i don't think he will ever be a scoring threat, and if he's not going to be good defensively, his value isn't that high, so his ceiling is a backup imho.

And Marshall can run a offense better than dragic even if his arms were turned into chicken wings.

I wasn''t comparing marshall to dragic because dragic is more of a scorer, I was just saying its a precendent set for a pg to struggle mightly early but succeed later. Marhsall is more like Jose Calderon. Calderon was a bit older and more developed when he came to the NBA yet he struggled with many things marshall is struggling with (mabey not as bad but he was older as I mentioned). I think within a few years Marshall will get there and surpass Calderon but that just my opinion.

i know, i got what you meant and i understand your reasoning. what i wrote was as a response to this question:

Ok thanks for explaining. So you see him as a better Dragic one day?

and if dragic's arms where turned into chicken wings, zombies would have eaten them too. so, yeah... sorry for making you look foolish
