I love how SPO toys with him, by first putting UD,Battier on him

then says ok LBJ show this dude wassup

Great game by our Big 3 in 2nd half, lets go

James in the second half was brilliant on the boards, defensively, and shooting the ball. How can you be the strongest player and the fastest and the quickest all at the same time? Is this humanly possible?

NBA.com has advanced stat breakdown of Jordan's last two seasons in Chicago, and they're pretty underwhelming. We're talking 50% at the rim underwhelming. He was obviously a sick midrange jumpshooter at that point, and could use his post game to get a good midrange J whenever he wanted, but he looks a lot like today's Kobe by the numbers.

It's funny seeing Knicks fans saying look what happened in the first half, thats what we can do. Haslem was guarding Melo for large portions. No wonder he got off to hot first half. No sign of him in 4th once the defensive intensity was raised.

Perfect way to kick off the week.

People forget that Jordan performed underwhelmingly in the playoffs and in the seasons in general in his last three championship years, yet his teams were amongst the best ever. What a lot of people forget about Jordan is that he didn't even play his best/most dominant basketball when his team had its two most dominant seasons, i.e., 95-96, 96-97, especially in the playoffs. He shot .459 in the '96 playoffs. In fact, the last three years when he won a title, he had many sub-par playoff games where he shot near 40-42% and wasn't the primary driver for wins in those games, but his team bailed him out along with many, many favorable calls.

In the '96 playoffs, Jordan shot below 50% from the field in 11 out of the 18 games, below 45% in 8 games, below 40% in 4 games, below 30% in one game. He shot .459 overall. He got bailed out at the FT line even though he wasn't as quick or athletic as he was in his prime as he shot 187 FTs in 18 games.

In the '97 playoffs, ordan shot below 50% from the field in 13 out of the 19 games, below 45% in 9 games, below 40% in 5 games, below 30% in two games. He shot .456 overall. He got bailed out at the FT line even though he wasn't as quick or athletic as he was in his prime as he shot 148 FTs in 19 games.

In the Bulls' two BEST SEASONS, Jordan was clearly in decline and not as great or dominant of a player and yet the Bulls won just about every game. This tells you what kind of team the Bulls had and how they bailed out Jordan on many occasions. The myth that "Jordan would let X happen or Jordan wouldn't let Y happen or Jordan was always great in the playoffs and that's the reason the Bulls won" is nonsense when one looks at the stats.[/quote]

Excellent info.

best part of the game was seeing that scrub james white play for 3 minutes and never put in again. he brought out flight attendants to the dunk contest, i can see him working in the airport in a couple of years selling newspapers.

EXACTLY! He got a lot of ultrastar calls that helped his overall PER and stats. He was nothing like he was in the late '80s and early '90s although his outside shot was better, yet the Bulls had their best seasons ever and were nearly unbeatable. That team he had around him bailed him out a LOT of times those last three years which added to his legacy. Even in that final game against Utah in '98, he was 15-35 but nobody remembers that. He had a very poor game in game 7 against the Pacers (9-25) but Kukoc bailed both him and Pippen (6-18) out.

Come on man, you just saw lbj have one of the greatest streaks by a player ever. Dwyane Wade is healthy. The team is hustling, and has won 13 in a row? You really didn't think this team would come back? Some people need to really evaluate themselves, and realize that basketball evolved past 1998. With fans like these, who needs knicks fans?

excellent info.

The weak competition Jordan faced in the East was at an all time low with the expansions teams etc, but the marketing gurus and needs to have a merchandise GOAT made him into some type of Chuck Norris mythical player.

"Jordan can do no wrong" or "my Jordan can beat your God" lol
