Team really needs to get out of the L.A. market.

Chivas San Diego sounds good.

El Paso is a town of a million with 90% Hispanic population. They also have the Sun Bowl to play in.

That Seattle /Monteral game was fun to watch. I was quite suprised when Seattle was approaching the top 3rd and many times instead of going up the middle (were open for !it too) they would often kick it out to the wings and play the cross to the front of the box. Then the coach in an interview said we have to get it out to the wings more! Looks like to me they just set up the defense against themselve and with the mids not pushing up enough was too hard to score 4 verses 2.

I use to live in El Paso and went to a few of the minor league soccer games there. Good times on the 4th of July. :) True, tons of hispanics, but those ticket prices would have to be cheap. Not much money in El Paso. I wonder if its still one of the cheapest cost of living cities in america.
Go ReAL!

argh, also forgot that galaxy play on the lakers channel starting today, which DISH has yet to get. damn.

anyway, going back to the horrible attendance at the chivas usa game, i think the tickets are overpriced. GA is 20 bucks, and to me thats too much. add to that that there isn't any parking cheaper than $15 around home depot center (cal state dominguez hills university), and im looking at 50 bucks just to go with a guest to a game. rather spend an extra 15 bucks on tix and get the same seat a galaxy game, and would much rather spend the money on the several exhibition/qualifiers that the mexico nat'l team plays in the area or go to an angels/dodgers game for less.

L.A. wins big.

The Portland/New York match has been fantastic so far.

They could stick the team in Orange County too. Lots of wealthy cities throughout OC that could probably support an MLS team.

RealSL is off to a nice start, although it would have been nice to have had that win in Salt Lake, but I guess it is nicer to know we can do that on the road during a vamped up first game of the year where fans have a lot of built up anticipation.

Awesome to have you here UncleDrew.

Union are unfortunately falling behind at this point. How do you think the season will play out for them?

Not sure really. I was a huge fan of the team during 2010 (club's inaugural season), but it seems like the roster has changed dramatically, especially with the former manager (who I understand was an ass) completely blew everything up, and was the reason for Le Toux's departure.

I just hope this year's squad cracks the Playoffs. Good thing is that the fans continue to come out. The Philly/South Jersey area has a tremendous interest in soccer, so Union games are always a great atmosphere, even when the team is struggling.

 I got a smile when I saw that too. Both of the former ReAL members got the goals for NY.

I would still say that letting Espindola go was getting more for less. The management did a good job of getting different forwards with speed to enhance Saborio's skill set.

Got to say ReAL looked great. Valasquez went from last year, "oh no not to him" to "come on give him the ball so he can dribble past those guys" whew, he was fun to watch. Gil also looked very good for the replacement of Johnson that went to the Timbers. ReAL I think actually got better with the replacement players they have over there star players last year. But time will have to hold out to keep that on winning ways for ReAL.
Go ReAL!

I just don't see how they can lower prices even more. 20 bucks for professional soccer is already pretty low.

I just don't think they will ever come out of the Galaxy shadow over L.A.

I still miss that guy. Why Toronto gave up on him so quickly I'll never know...
