Man, not fair to put an old man through all that - me, I mean.

We played crap, frankly, defense was sieve and Dwight was not playing well. However, we had Kobe. Closest to prime Jordan I've seen.

Yeah, counting on Kobe to win the game by dominating is not ideal. You want Kobe's greatness to be the thing that helps blow out teams...not the thing that keeps us in games.

Really, its all about Dwight right now. He tried at certain times in this game but other times he just looked terrible. This team is going nowhere without Dwight at least being a defensive force.

Also, although Dwight/Kobe/Nash each had 5 turnovers I would say 3 each of Nash and Kobe's were related to Dwight not catching a ball cleanly, not holding his man off, him not bending to catch a pass, or him not moving quickly to get in position. Just watch Howard play and ignore the other guys play. I did this. Its not pretty.

What really impressed me about Kobe was not just the dunks.
But he consistently tried to take the ball to the hole, and didn't settle for long jump shots all the time.
I loved that.
Incerdible game given he was being guarded by a bigger guy in Josh Smith.
If this team keeps turnovers down and plays better transition D, I think they can make some waves in the playoffs.

I have ot say, anyone who gives Smoove a max deal is insane - he plays like he's at the Y, and not a guy you want on your team. Tons of physical ability, almost zero ball IQ

He took it to the hole because he was being guarded by a PF in Smith, and was easily able to drive by him. It'll be interesting to see how Atlanta chooses to attempt to guard Kobe when we play them next, because Smith isn't capable of guarding him one on one; and it's taking him out of the paint where he's best utilized as a defender due to his shot blocking ability. Driving by Josh Smith is a lot easier than attempting to finish over him while he's already in the paint and able to act as a last line of defense.

I have to agree. Good fantasy player...**** in real life. It's a shame, he could be a pretty good player if he knew his place. Unfortunately, the same can be said of a bunch of NBA players.
