Solid game tonight by Motie. Looks like he did bring some defense when it was needed.

He did a good job defending Marion. But they (mchale) were so scared of his defense they put Chandler Parsons on Dirk.

Re: D-mo
His D was actually good today. He stayed in front of Marion, and contested his shots..and the certain times he was matched up w/ Dirk, even moreso on the third, he got a hand up, and even forced a turnover or two. He was gobbling boards to start the game, and I like that he didn't really force anything on offense, either.

I think he has found a working chemistry with asik. In the first qt asik was taking it easy while Dmo was very active, that's why asik could play the entire quarter. in the third quarter, it was Dmo to ake it easy and didn't force anything.

Turkey and Lithuania have great chemistry on and off the court.. in fact Dmo did an interview for the lithuanian press where he said that at the start of the season him and asik were the first two guys to arrive and worked together on a daily basis, and just by the way he was talking about him you could tell they're very fond of eachother and have a great deal of respect for one another..

The chair gave Yi a tougher time than that. I'd vote "Turnstile" as his nickname, but he's not there yet.

I can see this matchup again tomorrow...Motie seems to be improving, but for tomorrow's game, i would rather have Chandler on Dirk.

I can't say anything about yi, but d-mo gives a ton of effort
I think 85% of it is him not knowing what the eff to do

I can agree, and I still prefer him to Patterson, but yeesh! I can't wait for his D to improve a few hundred smidges.

lol! Well, the good thing is that defense is #1 about effort, #2 about skill. Since Domo has #1, and has the physical tools (i.e. length) for #2, I'm confident he should be able to improve his defense.

What I like most about this game that he improved defensively quite a lot since he got starting position.
Not defensive first team all nba yet but getting there
maybe it is a bit too long shot but imho he is similar to all other rockets players defensively already (and Rockets defensively aren't good obviously but we can see sparks when they start defending decently
)

Re: D-mo
Honestly I was skeptical when the Rockets drafted him, but this kid is only really lacking 2 things in my opinion...strength and experience. He seems to have a fiery attitude and the desire to get better which shouldn't be ignored. If he can build up his body similar to what guys like Yao Ming or say KG did, the sky is the limit. He can post and he can shoot. If he was stronger, he'd pretty much be able to do whatever he wants.

guys stfu about his defense from 1st 3 games that he started. have you guys played basketball on higher level? its called being out of playing shape. his whole body was sore, so he experienced slowness. he is at least decent defensive player. stop **** AMNESTY GUY after few bad games, and then after 2 good games stop suckin his dong. what a bunch of hypocrites. i said it since day one, he is high iq and skills, tall european who does it all, and he will a pretty good nba player once he gets his playing time. and here you go its happening. it was dumb for rockets not playing him from the beginning. clearly best pf of houston since start of the season.

His defense sucks. What're you gonna do about it?

Who said to amnesty him? We all have loved d-mo all year, but we knew why he wasn't playing...he is weak and is really bad on defense. Those will improve over time because it is obvious he gives a ton of effort
All our rookies get very little pt until the Allstar break...so that wasn't unusual? Why are u so upset? We all love motie and if you read our game threads you would know that. We had been calling for him to get pt since early in the season.
Your post is misinformed and I don't know where u got most of what u said....
