LockerRoom Issues
I made this thread based on our last game as well as some of the things our players are saying.
Will Bynum when asked is this the lowest point of the season said "idk, still a lot of games to play". Which too me sounds extremely unhappy
Knight basically said that no one is trying any more(in regards to last game) in his interview
Moose was seen yelling harder than a mofo at Stuckey during NOL game
While losings never fun, i've noticed that the last couple games our boys have seem disinterested. Do you guys think Frank is losing the locker room? Do you think Stuckey is causing problems? Do you think this is premature.

Re: LockerRoom Issues
Who's the lockerroom leader now? Tay's gone, who would it be - Maxiell?
Maxey is a pending FA
Moose is too reserved and young
Stuckey - has checked out, not a leader regardless
Knight is trying, but he's a 20 yr old struggling combo guard
CV- Bwahahahaha
Bynum - pending FA
Calderon - pending FA just passing through?
Maggette - nope
Drummond - come on now
Jerebko - malcontent
Kravtsov? Middleton? English? Singler?

This is the very reason I find it stupid to ever hope your team loses just for a lottery pick. That's caring more about who's not on the team (and may never be on the team) than who IS on the team. Losing begets losing, period point blank.

That's a good point. i know reports had knight as being the vocal leader, but i know if some 20 year old kid try to lead me i'd ignore him. Which seems like that's what the team was doing against the Spurs. Knight with same effort, majority of everyone else was liek f* it.
Maggette supposedly showed some leadership, but who listen's to a basketball player that can't play basketball. and Jose seems like one of those players where you nod your head like you care what he's saying but then ignore him. i hope our team looks a lot different next year

i don't ever get tanking, i want our players gettin used to winning and setting the bar high. Does anyone else feel like we are a worst team since the trade?

To me that says more about the player than the one trying to lead. Now granted, Knight is so off and on with his play so its hard to talk the talk and for someone to listen. But if Knight was going hard every night and putting up numbers consistently and walking the walk, 20 years old or not you better listen to the guy. If you don't because he's 20, you're the idiot.

yes, but thats only because it coincided with Drummond going down at the same time. Had we had no Drummond all year, we would've been just as bad before the trade. In other words, the trade didn't make us worse, Drummond being sidelined did

Re: LockerRoom Issues
This is the last thing I want to hear about. I can only hope that our core 3 are on the same page and it's other players who are the problem. I have no problem with Knight calling out people for playing lazy. Knight has some great leadership qualities and he is by far our highest energy player. This is just more of a reason for Dumars to let EVERY SINGLE expiring expire and to amnesty CV and waive Stuckey. He needs to use that capspace to completely rebuild this team in the summer. I feel bad for our core guys because every move Dumars has made has been for cutting salary so far and now they have a garbage roster to play with. Dumars better have the greater summer of his life or he's gone.

Re: LockerRoom Issues
I noticed the team appearing to have quit on Frank the 1st game back from the AS weekend against MEM.
Stuckey is immature and I don't believe he ever had passion for the game like you need to succeed at this level. I think its always been just a job to him, and thats why he doesn't take it serious and can often be seen joking around during 30 pt losses. I don't blame Monroe for getting annoyed with him

while i agree with this somewhat and it may just be me misremembering. but for the longest time i swear our starting unit would go up on teams 10+ points and then bench would come in and maintain or give up the lead. To me it doesn't quite seem like the team has a offensive flow with JC in the game, mostly because he holds teh ball for 20 seconds. and then we sub bynum in and he holds it for 25 seconds

Me neither. And I'm actually glad to see Moose fired up and passionate about the game, especially considering his demeanor and the fact that he is a young player.
It's easy to just coast by getting paid millions to play a game and travel across the country, it's not easy to maintain effort and intensity while losing so much.
Props to Moose/Knight. I can admire that.

Someone posted it in another thread, but right after the SAS game, Monroe posted something along the lines of (paraphrasing):
Some ppl need to grow up (or something like that).
Can someone w/twitter please verify?

i agree and disagree. Knights literally a kid and Elite athlete's are competitive and have pride. Knight is consistently reported as being the hardest worker, and yet i still don't see him as the leader of the team. Even if he is putting up monster numbers, the boys seem to be lead by his energy rather than him himself.

i'm glad he did, but again with no veteran leader this could cause issues. Where as some ppl take it constructively, my fear is guys like stuckey would take it negatively. and i agree with the rest. We need a completely new team and fresh start.

I think the offense with Calderon runs as good as I've seen it since Chauncey. He holds the ball a lot, but only because he's waiting for the right moment to make the right play, and doesn't want to risk turning it over. Better to hold it 20 sec and get the best shot, than turn it over after 10 sec trying to force something that isn't there. It might not be as exciting to watch, but its more effective and more of a real pro style offense than what we were running with Knight at PG, which was more of a freelance system.

Really hope Moose's tweet wasn't about Knight. If so, I'd lose respect for him.

It's overblown... did folks forget about the bickering and locker room fights during the 88-90 seasons... they were always on each other... granted younger players can be thin skinned but winners challenge their teammates.
It looks like Monroe has taken the leadership role... he's respected... Knight has the qualities.

Oh really? Is that all? No offense but why do people post things like this so matter-of-factly?
