I don't care about the loss. I'm very encouraged by the play of Favors and Kanter, as well as Burks. They all still have a lot of growing to do.
I'm starting to really, really fear this off season. We need to let both Jefferson and Millsap go...I really hope both get more money elsewhere than the Jazz are willing to offer. We can at least count on the FO being cheap, right?
If they both re-signed, and I m absolutely serious, I would lose complete interest in the team.

I'm also not bummed about the loss... Kanter was on attack mode. The pick and roll with Kanter/Favors was working and watching Kanter do an alley oop to Favors??!?
Future is looking good.
I hope we let Jefferson walk..still not sold on letting Milsap totally go (depends on price) but hopefully we'll use the money to get a real point guard. Milsap still can do so much..
*I REALLY want to see Favors/Kanter with Mo running the point and Burks as the backup??... that would really help make a decision.. maybe Mo can turn things around because as we all know Watson cannot hit a thing..

well, i, for one, am bummed about this loss. it may well cost us the playoffs. and in that case, it makes this season a complete waste. you don't end up with a high enough draft pick, and you don't make the playoffs either, all the while your young players are riding the pine and the FO managed to get nothing of value from our expiring vets.
the jazz put all of their eggs in the making the playoffs basket, which makes this season a complete and total FAILURE if they don't get in.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Is it just me, is this completely Corbin's inability to coach as to why we didn't win this game vets or no vets???
Why did we not foul and let them shoot the 3? Why did Favors stay on bench? Why was Foye brought in for game winner when he sat on bench for so long for being cold? Why does the 2nd round pick Millsap continue to be played at Starter(and clutch game go to) with newer better 1st round picks like Favors? Corbins complete faliure at doing correct rotations to win games? And Corbins inability to call the right plays in second half of games??
If we had a real coach we would have won...Corbin is a laughing joke and its starting to sting after ignoring this problem for last 2 months...

Nice to see the leading scorer in the game get a whopping zero minutes in the 4th and OT.

Re: Game 60: Utah Jazz (32-27) @ Milwaukee Bucks (29-28)
The Jazz are my second or third favorite team (were my clear favorite for years in the Stock/Malone days and for a couple of years after Stock retired, until I moved on because I really didn't like D-Will). I've started getting excited about Jazz basketball again recently, as Favors, Kanter, and Hayward seem to have great potential.
I was absolutely flabbergasted at what happened tonight. I haven't followed Utah closely enough all year to tell if Corbin is just perpetually horrendous or if this was a weird aberration to at least some extent. Is Corbin really like the worst coach ever, or a saboteur/double agent (jk) or something?? I mean, tonight was one of the weirdest and most dispiriting things I've ever seen a coach do. How can you possibly have a promising young player who is clearly the team's future have the game of his life and then just bench him for the 4th and OT? If Corbin were deliberately trying to piss off Favors so bad that Favors will leave after his contract is up or just flat out rebel against Utah, I can't imagine he could have done anything much worse. Is he trying to make the kid hate the Jazz or something? Just WTF?
I feel like the Jazz have a great future IF certain things are done, but I'm worried the organization isn't competent enough to do those things. Corbin needs to go, and a good coach needs to come in who can play the right guys and develop Utah's young talent effectively. I think a new PG is also needed... the PG doesn't need to be elite IMO, but does need to be somebody who is more of a facilitator than Mo Williams and who can set up Favors and Kanter effectively and work well with them for years to come. The frontcourt of Hayward/Favors/Kanter could be the best in the league for a long time, potentially... those guys all need to be playing 34 mpg or more starting yesterday, and getting used to being relied on and playing together. Playing those guys (+ possibly Burks... not sure if he's the SG of the future or not, but why not find out now?) and using the cap space and/or S&T value of Sap and Jeff (plus possibly trade value of Mo) to land the PG of the future is the way to go IMO. There's potential here to have a truly great team... maybe even multiple titles if things go right -- I really think Favors and Kanter (and to a lesser extent, Hayward) can be that good. However, I'm genuinely worried Corbin and the Utah front office are going to ruin this, which would just be really sad.

Re: Game 60: Utah Jazz (32-27) @ Milwaukee Bucks (29-28)
Corbin just sucks as a head coach.
I can at least get the argument of not putting a guy who had 23/15 thru 3 quarters (well, not really)
But the fact that Foye, Marv, and Watson continue to get any minutes just makes no sense. Well maybe Foye could get some off the bench, and maybe Watson would have needed a few with no Tinsley, but Marv getting minutes over a guy like Evans who had a damn good game on Friday is just, ugh, I don't know what to say.
And it's not like they were much better Friday. But here is what Ty had to say about the trio:
It started with Earl [Watson], Randy [Foye] and Marvin [Williams]–the veteran guys. I thought the young guys did a good job of following their lead getting us off to a good start.
Do they have compromising pictures of Ty or something?

And Tyrone Corbin is thinking, "Man, if only I had Tyrone Corbin as a coach, me and all my friends would be starting!"

[quote="RyanStorm"]Things I like and think are incredible:
Kanter 31 minutes 18-10
Favors 30 minutes 23-15
Burks 35 minutes 19-3reb-4ast
Carroll 32 minutes 13-3
----------------------------------------------
Burks has game, anyone who wanted to trade him for little was so wrong. 19-3-4 is a good line.
Favors is the man.......it was stupid to not play him the entire 4th quarter and OT.
18-10 for Kanter.....he is so good for21!
