8 man rotation is killing the Lakers.

We need scrubs that can come in a play 5-10 minutes a game. Really think that would have made the OKC game a lot closer today. Most of the elite teams have been offering tryouts and signing guys to make a run. Lakers haven't been active at all.

exactly! kobe is being ran into the ground (we obviously have no other option). We could've at least tried to put in morris on westbrook and had kobe run the point for a bit.

Lakers haven't even tried to LOOK for a big after Pau went down. Not even a ten day contract. Not even looked for another shooter. OKC got Ronnie Brewer ( a decent defender) for nothing but a 2nd rounder, i think we at least have one of those.

Lakers FO has sat and watched our team be mediocre all season. Doesn't help the stupid coaching decisions they've made as well. Seems like they've already given up on this season and it's a shame, kobe is playing his heart out, who knows if he can do this again next year, which could very well be his last

Kobe has his best season since 2010, yet we are flushing it down the drain with our stupid coaching decisions. Really sad to see

This team really needs a low post player to get them easy scores during crunch time. I'm hoping Gasol comes back soon and is healthy because Howard is not a post player.

we're in a groove with chemistry at the moment.

when pau comes back itll be a 9 man rotation, the same as it was under PJ. when hill comes back next season, it might even be a 10 man rotation.

right now, sacre isnt ready to contribute significant minutes, ebanks has been a letdown, so has morris.

cant do anything about that... play kobe less? but play meeks more? or more blake and nash trying to defend?? sorry, but we gotta make the POs

Duhon
Morris
Sacre
Ebanks
Pau
Hill

Is the rest of the squad. 2 of them are injured, one other guy is serviceable and the rest is D-league material.

What do you expect when you have roster spots being taken by guys like Sacre, Ebanks, Morris, and Duhon.

Two of our key rotation guys (Jordan and Gasol) are injured, with them we would have a nice 10 man rotation. But we have to roll with what we got.

Yes the Lakers do need to extend the rotation of players... That's where Gasol fits in. But playing the bottom of the bench only creates trouble at this point of the year. Playing Duhan, Morris, Ebanks and Sacre are some of the reasons why we had such a rough start to the year. Lakers have to just tough it out till Pau returns so the playoff lineup will be really tight.

fair enough - he's overpaid but that's life in the NBA, right?

You guys seem to have a short memory span. I'm glad Duhon isn't seeing the floor. But we need depth.

We have a 10 man rotation but two are injured.

The fault is not D'Antoni's. In fact, he's made so many more adjustments than I had expected at his hire.
*I was McMillan > Sloan > PJax > JVG > D'Antoni

Injuries happen. At this point we are and need to be allin for a playoff push.
Additionally, we need the extra reps together.

While I'm seeing too much hero ball by Kobe, Dwight and Nash is turning it over too much right now and we don't have the athletes to "save the possession". Dwight's also still working on conditioning and it's better he save his energy for Defense if his energy needs to be rationed. So I guess we'll have to live/die by Kobe ball.

Thank you German knees.

If these next 2-3 years are really your swan song Kobe, may as well put on a show, go out like a supernovae.

More playing time is why Blake/Meeks/Jamison have been playing much better lately (Jamison especially). It would be nice if we had a wing defender who could shoot the 3 ball or penetrate that we could throw on people and limit Metta's minutes but we simply don't.

When you think about it we actually have players that can play defense against the scoring guards of the league. Kobe and Metta and even Clark too has the ability to stay in front of quick guards. Metta should be focusing on defense again. This guy was signed to be our main defender, our Bruce Bowen or Teyshaun Prince, not to chuck threes.

Im not expecting anything from Nash,Blake,Jamison,Meeks anymore when it comes to defense. You cant teach old dogs new tricks, they are what they are. But for the players in our team that has history of playing good D or capable playing good D. They should take this responsibility. Offense is not the problem we have a lot players that can score. We're gonna get killed in the playoffs if we don't solve this problem.

Well it's supposed to be a 9 men rotation but Pau is out for another two weeks.
