Hitch in Romero's Delivery
Last year Romero had a slight hitch in his delivery that I don't remember from previous years, and it looks like he still has it this spring. He seems be slinging the ball towards the plate, and his follow through isn't pretty with his landing foot doing a double tap. Has anyone else noticed a change, or is my memory faulty?
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I absolutely distinctly remember last opening day he was doing a plant foot double-tap almost one-foot jump thing through release and I was like, does he always do that? The way I put it may sound exaggerated, but once I saw it, it just started looking weirder and weirder. As for the rest of the season, I remember saying I'd pay attention to future starts for that specifically, but now for the life of me I can't remember if I noticed it after that.
I think his plant location was way off that day too, but that's harder to tell on a gameday TV because of the angle. So I may be wrong, but it may be what you're noticing isn't a new thing for him.

I can't remember a guy falling this far this quickly. He must be severely injured and compensating in some way if his delivery is as different as this. It'll be interesting to look for in his first real start as I don't usually watch any Spring Training games.
How's his velocity and location been so far?

Yes. I've been noticing this for a long while now. It doesn't look like it has gotten better, his mechanics/pitching motion look very off. Just like last year, it looks awkward and stiff. It's like he pushes the ball towards the plate and doesn't throw it.

Re: Hitch in Romero's Delivery
Does everybody think that the season he had last year was a bad year because of mechanics and he wasn't in sync ? Or was most of it related to his injury he had fixed?
