If it's mixed with slush and ice, it might as well be 2 or 3 times that much.

I see what you did there!

Maybe some slush at the end in the late afternoon or evening tomorrow for Richmond.

The federal government's already announced it's closed today - even though as I look out the window - nothing's stuck on the road. But everything should be back to normal within... say... I don't know... maybe... roughly... 2 or 3 days.

Benjamin we have about 2-3 inches so far where I am in in the Richmond area, apparently some areas have a little more like neighboring western county Goochland.

I should note none of the major roads seem to be effected.

Post says that storm one from the midwest hits this morning, but that's not OUR storm, which is the front coming up from the Carolinas that will hit later today.

Awesome! It was a surprise. I've loved it in Chesterfield, near 288 and Courthouse, even if a lot of it is a slushy mess.

Leesburg is a dirt slurpee right now. 2 inches of slush and that's about it. Ji, the Ayatollah of Bust-olah, works his magic yet again.

Was pretty obvious, the forecast for the DC area was 37-40 as highs for the past week. I have to go back up there Monday, so have been paying attention.

ouch..what a disaster. Now i know how Ernie Grunfeld must feel like when he wakes up in the morning. THe western burbs out to Winchester and Shen valley areas did really well but inside the beltway was an epic fail. worst hobby ever

This is the second straight major storm forecasters totally blew - and schools/government shut down preemptively for no reason. Hurricane Sandy was a non-event for this area (although obviously not everywhere).
